You have configured OAuth 2.0 authentication, but have not received permission to use it. Grant permission with Google.
it is giving the impression that it is working. Since I’ve never used this before I don’t know what to look for to give it a clean bill of health. I hope support will visit the forum soon…
I am also going to try installing this on another site with another host. It would be really great to know how to prevent the Google API from generating the ‘wordpress@’ email address.

The single opt-in may be working, perhaps intermittently, but with the redirect to the thank you page not working we may turn the double opt-in back on. We are really looking forward to getting this resolved.

In reply to: [Longevity] Double banner???Wow, this is crazy! I went back in and realized that the widget was set to not show on the Home page. I would feel like a complete idiot except for the fact that the banner has been showing on the Home page for weeks. How this could have been possible is a complete mystery. At any rate, thanks again. Problem solved!

In reply to: [Longevity] Double banner???I’m not sure why this was left unresolved, but this is turning out to be a good thing because now I have a mystery. The site has had the same banner and curve-replacement for at least a month. Now, for unknown reasons, the banner has disappeared from the home page. The url is here. The banner widget has the same code it has had since it was placed there.
In the customizer the curve is set to show on all pages, which it does. I have added a few plugins but haven’t been paying a lot of attention to the home page, so I don’t know when the banner disappeared. Are you able to shed any light on this?

I think it was when I was getting all of the secret keys and codes and authorizing Twitter. That’s beside the point though—why isn’t the feed showing? My client has done some tweets since I put all of that in place.

The site went public ahead of schedule so I can give you the site url now. It is here.I experimented with buttons but would prefer to stick with text links if they can be styled. At the top of the right sidebar are the two links we are starting with. They are not part of a custom menu, but are instead in a text widget. Either would work…
Other than the buttons most of what I have tried is documented in this thread. There were probably a few other styles, but clearly nothing successful!

In reply to: [MaxButtons - Create buttons] 'Rate Us' box in AdminThis came before the suggestions and is still a work in progress, but this is where things stand right now.
I got frustrated with how much the white screen routine was slowing everything down so I deactivated and removed the plugin. As expected, this solved the ‘rate us’ box although there was another unrelated message which was persisting. Later there were some other issues I wanted to debug, so I renamed my plugin folder and one at a time added them back in and reactivated them. The other message never came back (I don’t remember what it was for) and I learned that Easy Google Fonts was the source of the unrelated issue.
I still need to add some buttons and may be reinstalling MaxButtons again for another try. I will keep this open for now in case someone else can identify an offending plugin. If it turns out that I won’t need it the hunt will then have to be picked up by someone else.
