In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] Prefix to title?Hi, if I understand you correctly, you are trying to write not only the post title, but also more text (such as the name of the website) to the featured image. Correct?
Unfortunately, this isn’t already an option in the free version, but it is an option if you were to upgrade to the PRO version, which would allow you to add additional characters both before and after the text you chose to write to the image. You might consider checking out the free trial to see if it does what you want.
To code it into the free version, you would need to add something like this around line 201.
$auto_image_post_text = 'Site Name : ' . $auto_image_post_text;Hope that helps!

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] Plugin just works in Admin-ModusIt’s quite possible that this happened because you have many posts that do not currently have a featured image, so my plugin was attempting to create images for all of them, which caused your site to not load.
To confirm, you could check the Media Library to see if many featured images were created all at once, with the same date and timestamp.
To assure that this doesn’t happen again, you should run the bulk utility before changing the hook to “the_post” in my plugin’s settings.
It’s not possible with the current version of the plugin, though I have thought about adding such a feature. But I do not have a timetable as to when, if ever, such an option will appear in the plugin.

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] Plugin just works in Admin-ModusDo you have any other hooks selected in addition to publish_post?
Sometimes the only way to get my plugin to work with front end submission plugins is to use the hook the_post. You may want to try other hooks first, since the_post would cause my plugin to run way more often than is necessary (basically any time any posts are called for anywhere). But, as a last resort, using the_post should make it work.

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] Plugin just works in Admin-ModusHi, which front end post plugin are you using? Please send me screenshots of my plugin’s settings page so I can see if there are any conflicting settings.

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] plugin not workingYes, my plugin will not create featured images for posts that already have them attached. Yes, I have been thinking about adding an option to the bulk utility that will unset all featured images and recreate them. I will add this to the next version.
Pertaining to how it sometimes creates images with the text “auto draft,” this is a bug. I will attempt to fix it in the next version as well.
Regarding the text not updating when you update the post title, I may be able to add an option for this in the next version as well. But, yes, the only way to do this now is to unset the featured image (or delete it) and then resave the post.

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] Custom Post Type Bulk ProcessIt should bulk process for custom post types as well. If you have not already, please contact me via my website since this issue relates to the PRO version of the plugin.

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] plugin not workingHi, your location should not cause my plugin not to work, unless it’s a language issue. But even then, my plugin should work with most languages.
My plugin depends on the GD Library. Most servers that have PHP installed also have the GD Library. You can always verify it by running the phpinfo output.
The plugin should create a featured image when you publish or update a post. Check the Media Library after you save a post to see if an image was created. It could be that your theme is not set to display featured images.
There’s a trial version of the premium version on my website. It also includes a debug tab that may help to troubleshoot the issue.

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] IFTTTTYes, this would be how it would work. The featured image is set when clicking “Save Draft” or “Update” or “Publish” within the WordPress admin.
If you need to generate the image outside of this process, you might look at the PRO version (http://designsbychris.com/auto-featured-image-from-title/), which allows you to select the WordPress hook that my plugin ties into.

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] Do not work in “~Europe”Thanks for pointing this out. It will be corrected it in the next version of the plugin.
Meant to say, so if you’ve uploaded custom backgrounds and images, you might want to back them up if you don’t still have copies of them.
Thanks for letting me know! I’ve updated the Helper plugin with the new resources. You can download the new version here: http://designsbychris.com/auto-featured-image-from-title-uploads-helper/
One word of warning about it, however. If you uninstall the previous Helper plugin, and then install the new one, any custom background images and fonts that you uploaded will also be erased. This is because, by uninstalling it, WordPress completely removes the directory and all files in it. So

In reply to: [Auto Featured Image from Title] Problems with plugin and usersUnfortunately, this is a problem the free version cannot solve.
You might consider upgrading to the PRO version. It has options that allow you to specify image generation rules that may work better for user submitted posts. You can download a trial of it from my website: http://designsbychris.com.

In reply to: How Do I Stop Featured Image From Displaying in Page Content? There are several ways to do this. The easiest thing to do would be to add custom CSS to hide it. If your theme has a place for you to add custom CSS, you can add the code there. If not, you could get a plugin that allows you to add custom CSS, such as Custom CSS. Here’s the code you would add:
.single-post .wp-post-image { display: none; }The code might be a little different if your theme adds the featured image in a custom way. Regardless, this is the easiest way, but it doesn’t actually remove the featured image, it just hides it.
The better way is to make a child theme, and completely remove the featured image from even being inserted.
