Please pay attention. It doesn’t break any ‘LIVE’ sites. If it’s breaking up the demo site in your computer, it’s a sign that something is not configured correctly in the relational data base side. I would look into it before I decide to transfer it to a web server.
I am glad you brought up #8 to the discussion. Also, didn’t I say “Yes” already?
Can you offer any hints on how I can add this content before approving the account?
At this stage, it doesn’t allow us to upload or add anything as an administrator. You have to have a profile form with all the fields you want to edit set in place in the first place. You should also be able to upload avatar and cover pics regardless of the user account status (e.g. ‘Pending Review’).
One more thing, live sites don’t break up if you select Homepage in UM => Settings => Set Up => Login page.
The setting is inconsequential as far as changing core functions is concerned. You should analyze and review all your configuration settings before you decide to transfer that site you have in your computer to a web server.
You’ve been advised.

I did UM > Settings > User Page and changed the drop down option to the home page.
Right! Just like I thought you did in my comments above. You were not supposed to do that.
The instructions just indicate that you make sure you are using the default login page. Example; if you made 2 login pages, you select the one you are testing in UM => Settings => Set Up => Login page. It doesn’t mean or say that it would redirect you to homepage if you select ‘homepage’ from the pull down menu.
The instructions also suggest that if login page is selected correctly then you go to UM => User Roles to change redirection.

I think I now understand the source of your confusion. You probably thought that by selecting ‘homepage’ with the pulldown menu in UM => Settings => Set Up => Login page, you will be redirected to the Homepage, right?
If so, that’s not what the instructions said…
What dangers? Are you testing UM in your computer using something like WAMP?
if you change the user page default re-direct to the site’s homepage it breaks the entire site.
What exactly are you doing? Are you editing the user page in Pages and trying to redirect from there? Or are you trying to redirect in UM => User Roles?
The instructions are precise, so you must be doing something wrong.
You must have misinterpreted the instructions. You are not supposed to select the home page but a custom user page. For example, if you created a custom user page to display user profiles called ‘member details’, you would then select that page instead of the USER PAGE. The Bottom line is that the user page you select must have shortcode(s) which a homepage doesn’t.
I hope this clarifies.
Unfortunately, UM does not have this option at this time. You will need to hire a freelance developer to write this custom code to extend the functionality of the plugin.
Thanks.
Yes. Make sure that page is selected in Admin panel -> Ultimate Members => Set Up => User page.

It really was only one question.
It doesn’t matter, but, no, it wasn’t just one question. You presented several operational inquiries and wrapped it all up with one question.
I only posted that link so that you don’t waste your time or wait for response aimlessly here.
You seem to be condensing 4 operational questions in one now:Is this possible?
The answer is YES.
This is not a UM issue. CSS issues with theme templates are not supported here.
You really have only 3 options:
1. Find the answer elsewhere (the theme author’s web site would be a good place to start)
2. Fix the issue yourself if you can.
3. Hire someone to do it for you. Many users on this board can go into your site and fix any issues providing you give them ftp access.
Asking for answers to a myriad of issues is not the best way to get support.
5. Don’t Ask Multiple Questions:
Having one focused question to your issue will give you a much faster response from participants or the plugin support team. Coming for support with many questions in one post is not helpful to anybody and may discourage people from getting involved in your topic. If you have multiple questions then create multiple topics, making sure the title closely summarizes your description of the problem in the topic body. Think of the topic you create as a new source of information for the next user that experiences the same issue.- This reply was modified 9 years, 5 months ago by borisv.
Do you see the shortcode corresponding to the profile form in Admin panel => Pages => User?
Hi, You are asking questions that appear to be related to paid extensions. This is the free support board for the Ultimate Member plugin, not its paid extensions which would give the functionalities you are interested in.
For paid extensions, support is provided here:

Surely, you don’t believe that you are the only one in your language affected by this ML/RDBCMS issue. We use hacks all the time. You have no choice but to do it that way (for now).
