Hi Cindy,
Could you provide the URL to your reviews page, or email it to aaron {[at]} gowebsolutions.com and I will take a look at it.
You can also upgrade to 2.1.9 which was just released, but I don’t think it had anything that would fix the issue you are experiencing.
Thanks for the bug report. We’ll get it figured out.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] [Plugin: WP Customer Reviews] Small feature requestWe’ll be adding this option in an update in the near future. It must be displayed in the hReview format, but it can be hidden to the user, so that option will be added for you.
Thanks for the suggestion, and don’t forget to rate the plugin 🙂
Good suggestion. We’ll add it to the todo list.
Fixed in 2.1.9 – The overall containing element was incorrectly placed below the reviews content when the above/below option was added. Try it again with 2.1.9 and it should be fine.
Thanks for the report.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] My Review of WP Customer ReviewsGlad you like the plugin.
I like the idea of business reviews, just like product reviews.
As far as making a directory of businesses — that is a bit more advanced. I don’t want to venture too far away from the plugin’s main intent, but it’s a very interesting suggestion that I will look into.
2.1.8 has just been released to fix the “button text” issue. I’ll keep it showing for now, because some people like to see it slide up and down because it’s fun (including me!).
I’ll check on the business reviews as it should be as simple as the product reviews but just have to make some changes to make it work, and to make it migrate to the new behavior automatically for existing users.
Great suggestions.. We’ll try to slow down the releases as we have plenty of other work to do, but wanted to get this plugin fully functional and with the most suggested features before we took a little break.
Hi John,
2.1.5 was released at about the exact time you posted this message. The problem was with not using “pretty” permalinks (which your new site does not). The fixes also fixes pages that were being previewed, or in general accessed by ?page_id=<#> instead of the permalink.
An oversight on my part, but 2.1.5 should fix it and I apologize for the problem, and actually allow the review to post to the correct URL.
Let me know if 2.1.5 fixes the issue.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] [Plugin: WP Customer Reviews] Dont WorkThanks for reporting this. 2.1.5 should be available in a few minutes. If it doesn’t show up for upgrade, just deactivate/delete and re-install the plugin. It should retain your settings.
The issue was with non-permalink pages (or previewing pages) and the anti-spam Javascript system which changes the action of the form when you click the button. It should be good to go now.
Can’t believe I didn’t think of that possibility or test for it before.. the plugin has gone through some major and rapid updates since it was released a few weeks ago, and I just overlooked testing of that.
Please let me know if 2.1.5 fixes the issue.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] [Plugin: WP Customer Reviews] Dont WorkCould you post a link to the URL of the page you are testing it on?
Also.. which version of the plugin are you using, which theme, and could you provide a list of other plugins you are using so we can troubleshoot any incompatibility issues.
Thank you!

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] [Plugin: WP Customer Reviews] ShortcodeNot at the moment. Everything is tired to a post/page ID, including reviews, so using it on a static page would not be possible at this time.
You’re welcome. Thank you for your support and feedback.
We have added the ability to use it with posts a couple of days ago. Try out the latest version.
Could you give specifics on the red error code and website address not valid. It should only give this message if website is asked for AND website field is not empty (and is not a valid URL). You should technically never see any red error codes, as the Javascript should take care of validation before the form ever gets submitted.
Let me know. Thanks!
Thanks to both of you. 2.1.4 will be out in a few minutes and should fix the “processing…” issue.
Also out with it are fixes for asking for website (not requiring) and the website being left blank. It was triggering validation before, even on the empty field. This has been corrected.
Also fixed are some general Javascript cleanups and the method used for friendly forwarding to the correct URL using Javascript and then jumping down to where the status message is on the page.
John — your problem may be the same type of issue with the website being left blank.. it would never be posted to the database with the bug being present.
Both of you please try 2.1.4 and let me know how it goes. I’ve had enough of these quick releases, so let’s hope we have it nice and stable now for everyone.
2.1.3 will be out in a few minutes with the option added to show the form above or below the reviews. Thanks for the suggestion.
If you have any issues with it, please let me know.
