It appears that the documentation is incorrect for that shortcode, and title is not permitted for that code, unfortunately. Thank you for pointing it out for us.
If you place the shortcode on any WordPress page, you will have a title that way.

I’m sorry to hear that you ran into issues with this! I tried a few times to reproduce the error, but I could not.
I am wondering if a full conflict test would tell us the problem. Let’s try this:
1. deactivate all other plugins aside from AWPCP after doing a full backup of your site (NOTE: we recommend setting up a staging site for future testing to avoid disrupting your live site)
2. switch to TwentyNineteen (or similar default WordPress theme) theme under Appearance > Themes
3. verify that the problem no longer exists (this should work perfectly – you may need to clear your cache)
4. switch back to your current theme and TEST for the problem
5. If there is a problem there, then the theme is the issue. If no problem, continue to #6
6. turn on your other plugins one by one and TEST each time you turn a plugin on. That will identify the problem.
Please try that and let me know what you find.

You may not have changed all instances of the verbiage you are trying to change in the translation file — the same words appear many times. You can use Ctrl+F to find all instances.

While AWPCP doesn’t have a setting for this, WordPress does! You can go to Classified Ads > All Classifieds and up inn the top right there is a setting for screen options. You can increase the number of viewable listings there, then bulk delete them.
If the items are in the trash folder, the image is not deleted — but if you delete the listings permanently (remove them from the trash) then the images will be deleted.

If you are using AWPCP 4.0.0 or newer, the translation file should be loaded automatically. Which version are you using?

Categories should link to a list of listings in the category, that’s correct. Can you check that your listings all have categories and fee plans assigned to them?
