Hi @oasisva
Thanks for your report!
I haven’t been able to reproduce this error, so I’ll need some more information here. I did a quick internet search of a problem like this and it turns out that BlueHost may be causing an issue here. Here’s one article I found: https://techiemamma.com/getting-the-error-blocked-as-suspected-bot/
If that isn’t the issue, can you please provide exact steps on how to reproduce the problem, including screenshots of what you see and link(s) to the right pages to start from? A link to your website is helpful as well.
To expedite the issue further, please do a short screencast of the issue or send screenshots showing the exact steps to reproduce the issue. We recommend a free screencast app like https://www.loom.com/ for the screencast and Lightshot https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html for screenshots. If it helps, you can number the steps and include links to the exact pages you are using when you had a problem.
I’ll need to know if you’re using reCAPTCHA, if you’re requiring registration or if it’s optional — that sort of thing.
That will allow us to find the issue the quickest. Please let me know.
Hi @rasmoodi
We appreciate your patience on this. I’m trying to reproduce this issue exactly and I’m having a hard time copying the URL, specificially the part that uses the Persian alphabet.
Can you please let me know if you are adding this word as the listing title or in another field in a listing? If so, which one? Any information you can provide for us to reproduce the issue would be very helpful.
Please let me know.
Awesome!
Hi @rasmoodi
Thanks for inquiring here! Let me get a developer to give us some direction on this and I’ll post a response as soon as I have one. Thank you for your patience on this.
Hi @rasmoodi
Sorry for the misunderstanding!
This article will give you the specifics on how to translate the directory:
https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/translating-bd-other-language/Please keep in mind that with each release, we add, edit or remove strings in the plugin, and as a result, those things are changed in the translation file. If you are using a translation file, you should update your translation files with EACH upgrade of the plugin.
Follow the instructions in this article for the steps to take to upgrade your translation file: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-to-upgrade-a-translation-file/
We do try to include as many translations as we can in the plugin, but we rely on native speakers to contribute those. If you are interested in being a contributor or a translator, please do let us know.
You can see our progress on translations on WordPress.org here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/business-directory-plugin/
The handbook for translators on WordPress is here: https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/translating/glotpress-translate-wordpress-org/ and will get you started.
Hi @keyinora
Thank you for reaching out about this. I’m glad to hear that you are considering Business Directory Plugin for your project.
That’s something we can consider for future development, but not something the plugin allows for today. We’re definitely considering it for inclusion, but we don’t have a specific timeframe when it will be available at this time.
Good luck in your search!
Hi @patsky
I’m familiar with senior moments 🙂
If you have chosen a URL field type when setting up the URL field, the setting should be under Field-specific settings. If you’re not seeing it, please let me know!
Thanks for the update @patsky If you have a PC I’ve come to really love https://imageoptim.com/online for optimizing images!
thanks @patsky 🙂
Hi @rasmoodi
I’m sorry to hear that this is still a problem. Can you please try searching the .po file for the word “address” and translating all instances?
If that doesn’t work, we would like to troubleshoot this issue with you further.

Hi @odw2017
Thanks for getting back to me on this. We’ll look into this as a bug and/or feature request. It seems like it may be a bug.
I may ask for more information shortly, but if you want to go ahead and send me more information about your setup, that would be great.

Hi @iwdteam
I’m sorry to hear that you ran into issues with this! I’d like to recommend a conflict test here. Theme and plugin conflicts are very common in WordPress, and a conflict test is used to help determine the cause of the issue. Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/
Before doing a conflict test, it is a best practice to take a backup of your site before beginning or to do the test on a staging site, in case any settings are changed during the process.
