I hoped by adding the suggestion here other admins who find managing many sites running your plugin a challenge might chime in with their support for this suggestion.
So a ‘level 5’ gets the same thing as a ‘level 10’, ‘level 20’, and so on? One code per level?
I suppose that can happen when the wrong support link is provided on my Dashboard. Didn’t I already mention that might be an issue? Why, yes, I did already mention that.

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Why we have to pay for this?@customit I would respectfully submit that you are missing the point entirely when it comes to how Automattic (the author of WordPress and Akismet) works. They give you some stuff for free. If you want to add what some would argue should be included functionality, then you must pay. That’s the WordPress way.

You mentioned that both tickets have already been answered. I would like to clarify that both tickets have been answered, i.e., they have both received a reply, although the issues in both tickets have not yet been addressed. I know from further usage of the plugin that there are additional typos. Sorry, but I am not being compensated to debug your work. Thank you for understanding.
As far as both tasks being in progress and being implemented in accordance with the inner plan, that sounds an awful lot like ‘we will fix it when we get around to it’. Taken in totality with my support experience thus far, it is not a very professional reply.
As you probably already noticed, I already expanded my service (again) with you folks earlier today. I am not yet giving up on you, I really want this relationship to work out.

While it makes sense that any changed files should be flagged, it makes more sense if the scanner actually has the intelligence to examine any changes for threats. Still, it would be nice if the scanner logged any changed files for increased peace of mind.
Hi again – Is there a way to tell for sure? The developer told me there was only one set of hashes, and that was for the free version of their plugin. When the registration key is entered in the WordPress admin area, the local files are modified from a private repository. Thank you!

As it turns out, there was a plugin called WP Mail SMTP that had been installed and removed. Why an SMTP plugin would install a forms plugin is a mystery to me, except that since the same company also offers the forms package, maybe it is a little creative “advertising”? In any case, I do not like plugins that sneak other plugins onto a site like that. 🙂
