In reply to: Need to change domain name without wordpressHi and thanks for reaching out! As was previously mentioned in this thread, your best method of updating your current URL would be through your website’s database. This is managed and edited through your cPanel tool “PHPmyAdmin”. These articles may provide some guidance in updating the domain through your account:
https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/changing-the-site-url/
https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/using-your-temporary-url-with-wordpress
Please keep in mind the new domain should already be pointed to and assigned to the Bluehost account your site is on. Once the URL is updated in the database as described above you will want to run a search and replace on it to replace any instances of the old URL remaining in the database. While we can’t recommend anything specific, there are a number of search and replace plugins available to help.
As always if you run into any roadblocks or need someone to talk through the process, our support team is available by phone or chat to assist. They can be reached here:

In reply to: Domain keeps redirecting to wordpress.com blogHi and thanks for reaching out! Doing a quick DNS check on the domain you are having issues with shows it is still pointed at your WordPress.com account. This would cause it to load the WordPress.com landing pages when assigned to your new site. To correct this issue, you will need to update your domain’s DNS to point to your new Bluehost account. You can do this by setting the Nameservers to Bluehost or pointing the A record to your account IP if you are going to continue hosting at WordPress.com.
Once the domain has been properly pointed at the account you will be able to update the home and site URL to use the domain. Keep in mind that DNS changes may fail until any pending domain transfers have been completed. If you have any issues getting things up and running after the domain is pointed properly, please feel free to reach out to support here:

In reply to: [YITH Wonder] Site disrupted due to installation of ElementorHello @joycehelene,
Thank you for reaching out. While reviewing your site I currently see it loading with no issues using the YITH theme you mentioned you were originally using. I assume changing the theme, or restoring from your backup after the Elementor plugin was installed, corrected the issue?
If you are continuing to experience issues with your site, I would suggest you reach out to our live support who would be happy to investigate this concern further.

In reply to: Custom Field Data Disappears when Post is PublishedHi and thanks for reaching out! It may be difficult to find the root cause of an issue such as this. As we are not WordPress developers, we will be a bit limited on how much support we can provide here, however, we would be happy to help as much as we can.
You mentioned trying to run the cron job from the Bluehost cPanel and that is certainly worth attempting. You may also want to check the error logs in your site files. You would want to check these logs around the time that a post missing the field data is made to get the most relevant information. I will leave a link with more information on this below in case you need it. If you’re still not finding a resolution with that information, I would recommend working with a developer to determine the cause of the issue.

It is entirely possible that the situation like the one you are experiencing would require the assistance of a developer which would limit our support’s ability to assist. That being said, our team is always available and more then happy to look deeper into this matter in hopes of assisting or pointing you in the best possible direction.

In reply to: Parent Attribute BrokenHi there and thanks for reaching out! Most likely, this issue is due to having no page hierarchy selected. In reviewing, we noticed that each page on the site shows ‘0’ as the order.
This article states that you will need to set the hierarchy first before the option to select the parent page will show: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/parent-page-missing-in-page-attributes/page/2/
We also located multiple articles here advising to use a classic editor instead or use a page ordering plugin to identify the correct hierarchy and allow you to choose the parent page.

In reply to: Continuous ErrorHi and thanks for reaching out! As we are not developers, we will be limited in how much support we can provide for this issue, however, we wanted to reach out to provide some guidance. The first thing we would recommend is getting a good look at your error log for your website. This article has instructions on how to do that:
https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/error-logs
This may give you a better idea of which files are causing the error and maybe give you somewhere to start. While we can’t diagnose the issue, the error sounds like you have a duplicate function in your website files. This could mean you have the same function in two files or in two places in the same file. Or the file defining the function is included twice. You may want to do some more research on the particular error and any possible solutions online. A WordPress developer may also be able to provide further guidance.
We may be unable to fix the issue on our end, however, you are welcome to reach out to one of our social media accounts and we would be happy to take a closer look for you.

In reply to: What I see on my pages is not what I edit in ElementorHi there and thanks for reaching out! In our initial review of your site, we found that the domain name associated with your WordPress install might differ from your main site.
Additionally, you may want to ensure that your Elementor license is properly setup and activated with the correct URL and your permalinks are setup correctly, which can address issues with 404 page errors.
Support can review this as well or point you in the right direction:
