Sorry about the wp-config.php this tends to be an issue if you have a non-english install of WordPress and I’m still trying to figure out a good way to handle it.

There are no ads in this plugin. Check you other plugins.
Some features will however any that rely on .htaccess or nginx rewrite rules will not.
What kind of error are you getting when you go to the login page?
Please check the database prefix in wp-config.php. On non-english language files it doesn’t always update correctly.
The reset password has been fixed, what happened with change profile? This is the first I’ve heard of an issue there. Finally, some other plugins are not compatible. This isn’t a problem and simply requires you turn off the incompatible features within Better WP Security.
The reset has been fixed in the latest dev version. The plugin is not at all dangerous is you read the directions. As for wp-activity, is that another plugin? You will most likely have to disable some features of Better WP Security for compatibility with some plugins. This is not a problem but is by design.

Thanks. The previous bug was solved and I am getting emails on all the sites I’m running. Let me take a look and see if I can’t try to recreate the bug.
OK. Thanks. The next question I have to ask is if the emails are either in your spam folder or not being sent? Do you have access to the server logs that might verify whether the emails are being sent or not?
Can you check the permissions on the backups folder in the better wp security directory. I’m wondering if perhaps it can’t write to that folder.
For those of you with away mode issues what timezone are your sites in?

Sorry, I must have hit “resolved” instead of email me. As this isn’t the first time I’ve done this near the end of a lot of responses I’ll just do it outside of posts.
As for the fix, if I don’t have to spend much more time meeting with the doc this week I should have something by the weekend.
Glad it’s working. Unfortunately it isn’t an uncommon issue. I’m looking for a better way to detect in the future but doing so won’t happen as quickly as I would like.
