• I am new to wordpress, and I have just set up a multi user site. I have installed ‘registered-users-only’, ‘remove-domain-part’, and ‘wordpress-mu-domain-mapping’ plugins also. Everything works well so far.

I had a couple of problems with bwps that I thought I should mention.

    1) When I changed the database prefix I was unable to get back in to my site. In order to fix things I had to use phpMyAdmin to find the new previx, and then change this manually in the config-wp.mydomain.com.php file. Perhaps this had to do with file permissions, but there was no warning about it.

    2) When I enable ‘away mode’ and ‘hide backend’ I get redirection problems while logging in and out. It looks like there is some kind of interaction with ‘registered-users-only’, because I sometimes get a 404 and then I am in the site.

Otherwise, this looks like a very useful tool to help me audit and fix simple security problems. Thanks very much.

  • Sorry about the wp-config.php this tends to be an issue if you have a non-english install of WordPress and I’m still trying to figure out a good way to handle it.

As for the other, I will look into the issue. Thank you for the report.
