In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Fullscreen Image SlideshowHi himalayansagas
I checked out your site:
http://www.himalayansagas.com/
The fullscreen slideshow does work when clicking on the main image on this page:
http://www.himalayansagas.com/2015/12/16/the-pious-winds/
but the images are added to the post with a link to the original image. Make sure the image you add does not have a link. You can do this by editing the images in the body of the post in wp-admin. Because the images have a link. You click on them, the fullscreen slideshow launches then the page refreshes because the link takes the user to a new page.
Additionally, fullscreen only works in those browsers that support it. When you place the cursor over the image, the cursor becomes a pointer and a graphic appears in the top left of the image if the browser is capable of fullscreen. If you don’t see the graphic, the browser does not go fullscreen.
Regards
MikeThese are the instructions from the readme file:
Use this format to activate fullscreen image display on a post (in those browsers that support it). All images in the post must be uploaded through the post, if you want to use an image in two posts with format gallery, you must upload the image twice. The ‘Link URL’ field for an added image must be empty.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Featured text on the front pageSuper!

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Featured text on the front pageHi Chris
You are correct, the theme pulls the text (the excerpt) used on the home page for each post automatically from the post … unless you complete the excerpt when editing the post. The excerpt is an additional field, below where you add the body of the post. If you can’t see it, go to the tab top right that says ‘Screen Options’ and make sure ‘Excerpt’ is checked when editing the post.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt
Hope that makes sense.

MikeI should have marked this post as resolved. Doing that now. Let me know if you have more questions.
Glad that works for you!
Regards
MikeHi Nick
The template is designed to show the post excerpt and featured image (if there is one). It is not possible to change it to show the whole post unless you edit the template.
Are you familiar with editing WordPress templates? They are PHP, HTML and CSS based files.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Smaller header font size on front pageOops, just noticed your name, hi Franz!

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Smaller header font size on front pageHi mott-broome
The size of the site title or headline is set in styles.css in the theme’s folder. You will see:
header h1 {
font-size: 3em;
}I imagine this might be about right for your site:
header h1 {
font-size: 2em;
}IMPORTANT NOTE: if you amend the file styles.css, each time you update the theme, that amendment will be lost. You could create a child theme (https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) but I sense that is too complex. You might be best installing this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/
then adding the following custom CSS:
header h1 {
font-size: 2em;
}That way, you can update the theme without breaking your amendment.
Let me know how you get on.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] problem with layoutHi
I’m not really sure what you mean. The link you give is password protected.
All I can think is you are seeing the WordPress admin bar when you are logged in as a user and visit the public website. If you logout of WordPress and visit the public site, do you have the same problem?

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Remove Website Field from Comments FormHi
For me to help you, I need to know more about what you are trying to do. I understand you are trying to remove the website field. Are you amending the The J A Mortram template code itself?
The J A Mortram uses comments_template(), the website field is labeled with this CSS class by default: ‘comment-form-url’ and could be removed using CSS targeting .comment-form-url.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Fullscreen Image SlideshowThank you Christian, you do need to set the post format as Gallery to see the fullscreen slideshow! That had slipped my mind.
Thank you for your kind words on the theme.
