In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Size of featured image ?Media settings apply to newly uploaded images only. Do the thumbnails remain small once you have uploaded a new image after updating the the media sizes?
If so, there are plugins such as ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ which will go back and resize the thumbnails of images you have uploaded.
If not, send me a link to your site and I will take a look.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] COMMENT BOXHi
A comment box should appear yes. I am seeing an error in the code of the page related to LivePass and player.js. What is that and what are you using it for?
Unfortunately though, I am not really sure what is going on.
Try taking LivePass out of the equation and see if the comment box appears. Perhaps publish a simple post and see if the comments work on that. If so, it’s something in the content, if not, we’ll have to look further.
Let me know how you get on.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] COMMENT BOXHi
There are two places you might have done this. In Settings, Reading, ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles ‘ must be checked for comments to be on by default. On an individual post, you can also switch comments on and off, but that option must be showing. If you can’t see a box to switch comments on and off when you edit a post, go to screen options in the top right, make sure discussion is checked, check the page again and there will be an option to switch comments on and off.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Setting front page to show all of latest postsHi Paul
That’s not possible unfortunately. You can set the home page of WordPress in Settings, General, Reading (Front Page) but it’s limited to ‘pages’.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Size of featured image ?Hi Sebastian
To amend the size of the featured image, amend the media settings in WordPress admin system.
These are the recommended settings:
Thumbnail 1200 x 300
[uncheck crop thumbnail]
Medium 2400 x 600
Large 4800 x 1200In WordPress admin go to settings, then media, and you can make the above changes.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] TEXT BAR TO THE LEFT: how to create it ?Hi Sebastian
Thank you.
I think the ‘vertical bar’ is the line used to mark a quote. In the WordPress admin system, when you are making a post, highlight the text you want the bar to appear by the side of and then click the quotation marks.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] How to make photos appear on homepage?Hi
Setting a featured image should make an image display on the front page and any other archive / category page.
I can’t think of a reason why it would not.
Can you describe your setup a little more.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] FooterHi
Apologies it has taken me so long to respond.
The footer displays in column and not table format. It is only intended for a small number of items.

In reply to: [The J A Mortram] Social buttons below headerHi Nick
Apologies it has taken me so long to respond.
I don’t have any code to add it to the header of the page, but this plugin adds it above the comments in a post:

MikeHi tatichristensen
I will need more information to help you out here. There is no reason I can think of why the images would not be showing.
Are you creating a new post using ‘Add New’ and then using the ‘Add Media’ button when using the browser? Only a featured image will show on a home or category page, images added to the body of a post show on the post page itself.
Send me a link to your site or more information.
Regards
Mike
