Ah, that’s a shame about Google fonts. I looked into a work around, but it seems the mirror for loading Google fonts in China isn’t online anymore:

Hi Michael,

In answer to your questions:

1. Microthemer saves the CSS changes to an external stylesheet at the following URL: [your domain.com]/wp-content/micro-themes/active-styles.css

This external stylesheet is unaffected when you update your theme, or any other plugin. And so the styles will still apply after updating. There is no need for a child theme, as the styles are already stored in a separate place.

2. Divi provides a quick way to add content, and some styling options. Microthemer just provides more. It specialises in styling content already on the page, and so provides an arsenal of styling options that can be applied to any elementm including headers, footers, and sidebars. It also makes it easier to style multiple elements on the page in the same way.

I must apologise for not replying previously. I failed to subscribe to the WP forum feed. This was a huge oversight on my part.

I see you’re customer. Did you raise this on our dedicated forum for Microthemer? If not, and you’re still struggling with this. It sounds like the Syndey theme might use dynamic ids that change on each page load. And Microthemer is picking up on these when it suggests selectors.

I see that the Sydney theme uses Site Origin’s page builder. I’ve just done a quick test of the page builder to see what kind of markup it uses. And it looks like it uses more stable ids in the HTML. So you may not have the same issues if you upgrade the page builder. If you do, I would be happy to take a look at your site.

I must apologise for not replying previously. I failed to subscribe to the WP forum feed. This was a huge oversight on my part. We have a separate forum for Microthemer, but I’m happy to answer questions here too.

You can’t use Microthemer to crate tables or columns. It’s a CSS generator only. It doesn’t try to add HTML content, like WordPress page builders do. It is used in combination with page builders however, like Beaver Builder or the Divi theme. But I haven’t personally tested it with formidable pro views.
