Hey Rookie,

Ok quite a few points to cover. I’ll try to deal with them in order:

1. Microthemer is compatible with the WordPress default version of jQuery only. I am right in thinking you have fixed this issue by removing your custom version of jQuery?
2. The following video shows how to create selectors for multiple elements on the page without adding a custom class: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbljIM25BG Microthemer provides options for targeting related elements. But custom classes can be useful if Microthemer doesn’t suggest a selector for the particular arrangement of elements you want to target. Microthemer will pick up your custom class once you’ve added it – but you may need to find it via the advanced targeting options (shown in previous video)
3. To make the CSS specific for a custom post type (CPT) you will need to prefix the selectors Microthemer generates with a CPT-specific body class. So e.g. .entry-title would become .testimonials .entry-title. You can modify the selectors Microthemer suggests using the input fields under the ‘Targeting suggestions’ pane of the advanced options. See the advanced options in the 2nd half of the previous video.
4. Thanks for letting my know about the issue with cloudflares rocket-loader.
5. Regarding WP Hide, could there be an interaction between MT, WP Hide, and rocket-loader? Also, could a workaround be to disable WP hide while you work with Microthemer, like you’ve done for rocket-loader?

No worries if not, I can try some additional things to replicate this at my end. It just might help speed things up a little if I can review your setup and the path errors.

P.S. Microthemer doesn’t use the uploads folder for storing the CSS, that is added to the /wp-content/micro-themes folder.

Thanks for raising this. I just tried the two plugins together, but it worked for me. I Added the following customisations:

New Plugins Path: my_plugins
New Path for Microthemer plugin: mt

Perhaps you made further customisations?

It’s compatible in the sense that you can use Microthemer to customize the appearance of a Gutenburg generated page. Just as easily as you can a regular WordPress page. But it doesn’t have deep integration whereby you can edit via Gutenburg on the backend at the same time as applying style changes with Microthemer. I mention that workflow because it is possible with the Beaver Builder and Elementor page builders. I will see if it’s technically possible to achieve that with Gutenburg. But for now, you can style Gutenburg pages with Microthemer once they’ve been published.

This functionality isn’t currently configurable. I would consider making it so if you can explain your need for this a bit further? My only reservation at this stage is that most of our users would have little understanding or need for the setting.

That’s right. Microthemer doesn’t link to any Google font JavaScript files, just the font files.

Are you getting any 404 errors when using the Lite version on a Chinese server?

Thanks for the links. So if http://fonts.googleapis.com isn’t blocked in China, you should be OK using Google fonts in Microthemer. But please let me know if that’s not the case.
