    – What browser and version you are using?
    Mac Safari Version 13.1
    Mac Chrome Version 80.0.3987.163
    – What is the version of CoBlocks you have active?
    Version 1.23.0
    – Are you using the Gutenberg plugin and if so, which version?
    no
    – Are you experiencing this usage on your personal computer or the actual web server?
    web server
    – What processes are maxing out CPU, Mem, and I/O?
CPU usage max out when updating CoBlocks masonry block. This happens inconsistently.
Physical Memory, and I/O usage max out when updating changes to CoBlocks post block. The less posts used in the block the less time it takes for Physical Memory and I/O to return to normal levels. At around 12 posts wordpress may give an error “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.” and browsers will give an error “Service Unavailable- The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Merely adjusting (not updating ) the “number of posts” setting in the block editor increases the CPU usage, increasing or decrease 2-16 posts.
When I remove the post block Physical Memory, I/O, CPU levels return to normal.

I spent all morning forcing the errors again to answer your questions. I hope it helps!

@kfrey12: did you indicate a file size? if not it defaults to 1mb. the issue of larger sizes is pretty common. you can find lots of different variation of posts and solutions if you do a search on here.

@esmi: how is @spurwing’s issue different than mine?

@takayuki miyoshi: so when i deactivate all my plugins and switch to my default theme and find the conflicting plugin or theme, then i have to make a choice whether to use your plugin or the other plugin or the theme? i hope that’s not the case…but i guess life is full of tough choices.

I moved my index.php to the root and kept all my other WP files in the same place. I then went to change the url in the admin page and put wordpress address and blog address to “www.mywebsite.com”. All hell broke loose. My website displayed text gobbledy-gook, and I couldn’t access wp-admin any.

I went to my web host company, and we restored all the files back to when everything was still working. That didn’t fix anything, so we deduce that it must be a change in the database.

I went into myphpadmin as suggested and changed the first row to my original URL. That fixed the content problems, but now I have the text gobbledy-gook showing up at the top of my webpages, and I still can’t access the wp-admin page.

Are there more fields that need to be changed in myphpadmin?

    Hi Pieterg,

I had to do the same thing. That worked. Thanks, man!

I can’t seem to install the plugin.

    1. I arrive at “http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hotfix/installation/”
    2. I click on “click here”
    3. That takes me to “http://coveredwebservices.com/wp-plugin-install/?plugin=hotfix”
    4. I fill the wordpress URL after the pre-filled “http://” with “www.whateverMyURLIs.com/theSubFolder”
    5. I click on “install plugin”
    6. That takes me to “http://coveredwebservices.com/wp-plugin-install/?plugin=hotfix” and the page is completely blank except for “Install hotfix on http://whateverMyURLIs.com/theSubFolder/ ?” at the top
    7. I check back in my media library and my files are still missing. I can’t see them unless I turn off my WP e-commerce plugin.
    8. I try this several times in different browsers, I’m still not successful.

How is everyone installing this “easy fix”? What am I overlooking?
