    Do I need to install all previous Plugins before I restore the backup?

    No, you can use the latest plugin version for restoring process from WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/dropbox-backup/

    Do those Plugins need to have the same version?

    This is OK, if you use just the latest plugin version for restore.

    “500 Internal Server Error” – this is error, that was returned by hosting/server of your website (not from this plugin!)

    Probably you inattentively read the message, which you posted here:

    To solve this problem, we need to access the system logs of your hosting/server and/or from your backup, that you tried to create
    or
    simply send to us your FTP access data.

    Providing of FTP data is NOT OBLIGATORY, but if you need help and don’t provide us any information, such as server logs or FTP access – support can’t help you.

    Anyway, if you need some help, you should send your request with server/hosting logs to our support team.

    not absolutely, this is possible, but it can be difficult for you (backup archive must be specially renamed).
    Therefore, please try our sollution specially for website ISP migration. With this plugin you can easy clone or duplicate website to the new Internet provider.

    no, I think you are alright. Just opposite: maybe I’m just a little paranoid 😉
    You are right with this remark, but there are some reasons for this.
    If you are paid-user from our online service, then you have our personality on your bill.
    If we wanted to do some harm to our users, we wouldn’t do for this purposes such “hot work”, as a backup for the website.
    Fact is: we can help you to solve any problem corresponding to your website.
    Whether you will give us your access credentials or not – is your own opinion, but it can help us to find the solution of your issues.

    Anyway during backup or restore process running and also after this process was finished you can see step-by-step logging of this process on your screen, which is also written to log file on your hosting (in folder of your website).

    Path to you log file is: /wp-content/plugins/dropbox-backup/tmp/log.log

    In most cases there are described, what has gone wrong.

    We can’t find any logs on your hosting due plugin and the FTP access, that you give us before – didn’t work.
    Please, send to us your working FTP access or Web Server logs.
    Unfortunately that is the reason, why you didn’t receive the answer for long time.
