Hello @marie911 ,
Could you check if there are any leftovers of a complianz-gdpr-your_LANG.l10n.php inside /wp-content/languages/plugins folder?
Since a recent WordPress release (6.5) there have been changes to the way translations are handled. Aside of the .po/mo files, there is now also a complianz-gdpr-your_LANG.l10n.php file being generated. WordPress will give priority to the latter, and this is why the issue likely occurs. In this case, the generated l10n.php file for Complianz likely doesn’t contain the latest translations, while the .po/mo files in the plugin likely does contain those already. So, I kindly ask you to delete the complianz-gdpr-your_LANG.l10n.php (all of them, if there are more languages) from the /wp-content/languages/plugins folder which should resolve the issue. In case the issue still persists I’d ask you to check “WordPress → Dashboard → Updates → Update Translations” for an update.
If unfortunately this do not work, as stated by @cedriccharles , we are aware of this issue and we are working on it.Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Problem integrating a scriptHello @rumpel2116 ,
I have performed some tests to find a workaround for this issue, and I believe I have found a simple solution that doesn’t involve adding any scripts but instead uses the hubspot form shortcode (I used their form from Elementor as an example).
I used the “Block a script, iframe, or plugin” feature in the Script Center enabling only the placeholder check and adding the class “hbspt-form.” This allows Complianz to apply a placeholder directly to the class blocking it. Please take a look at this video where I demonstrate this issue: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/y49kqc2vazwvo33ejfsjb/Screen-Recording-2024-09-05-12-06-31.mp4?rlkey=shbvfzefaht5zi1knos5ag6y2&st=121104bf&dl=0.
Please let me know how it goes.
Hello @bennipg ,
After further research, the nocookie URL does not place any cookies until the play button is clicked. At that point, cookies are still set without user consent. Google refers to this as the “delayed cookie option” which is why there’s no overlay on the thumbnail initially. I suggest resolving this by switching from the nocookie URL to the standard URL and then enabling the YouTube integration, as I mentioned in my first response.
Let me know how this process goes, looking forward to hearing you.Hello @hebhansen ,
Thank you for reaching out.
The issue might be related to the way our legal pages are generated, using a single shortcode, which pulls in the text dynamically.
In this case, I suggest creating a duplicate of the page but de-synchronized, you can learn more following this guide: https://complianz.io/editing-legal-documents/. You can then adjust the content and appearance as needed on your page while setting up redirects to the synchronized page. Consider to use a url redirect plugin if needed.
Looking forward to hearing you.Hello @elwvz ,
Thank you for reaching out to us. For this specific issue, we’d like to involve our developers to address it properly. Could you please contact us at support(at)complianz.io?
Thank you in advance.
Hello @bennipg ,
In this case, you can try blocking that specific URL since you’re using a plugin that loads ayoutube-nocookie.comURL, which is probably why the Youtube service in Complianz isn’t working. You can do this by using the “Block a script, iframe or plugin” feature by navigating to Integrations > Script Center. Try blocking this URL:
https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/. You can apply a cookie category to this and also add a placeholder. You can learn more by following this guide at point 3.2: https://complianz.io/integrating-plugins/.
Do not forget to clear the cache once done.Looking forward to hearing you soon.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Compatibility issues with LightboxHello @stephanie1994 ,
Could you please enable Safe Mode by navigating to Tools > Support > Enable Safe Mode? This will help us determine if the issue is caused by an integration, a specific service, or by Complianz itself. Enabling Safe Mode will temporarily deactivate all integrations and plugins. If Safe Mode resolves the issue, please disable it and begin troubleshooting by re-enabling the various integrations and services one by one. Don’t forget to clear the cache after each major step, possibly multiple times.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hello @sonjamae ,
Thank you for your patience. I’ve created a task to our developers to see if it’s possible.
I’ll update you as soon as I have some news.Hello @jasminekay ,
Thank you for your patience! I’m glad you were able to fix the issue yourself with my hints, and no worries. We all started somewhere!
Feel free to open a new thread if you need further assistance.
Hello @jasminekay,
Thank you for reaching out.
Yes, it is possible. Since the “Manage Consent” button is overlapping with other content on the page, we need to disable it first. You can disable the “Manage Consent” button by going to Complianz > Consent Banner > General > Manage Consent Display Options > “Hide Everywhere”. Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/SFHvYOPBYFgP.
Once this is done, you can add a custom HTML button in the footer that will act as the original “Manage Consent” widget but in the form of a button, here’s the code:<button class="cmplz-manage-consent">Manage Consent</button>Hope this helps!
Hello @boosterbast ,
Thank you for reaching out. There’s no need to delete the code already placed in the Custom CSS section. It’s designed to make it easier for users who want to modify the appearance of the banner. You can safely add your code wherever you like, as long as it’s not placed inside any
{}brackets of the pre-existent code.Hope this helps!
Hello @bennipg ,
Thank you for reaching out.The feature you’re looking for can be achieved with Complianz by enabling the YouTube service. You can do this by navigating to Integrations > Services > YouTube. It’s also possible to enable a placeholder for this specific service, but be aware that it might not work due to theme incompatibilities. If you encounter this issue, try enabling the disable placeholder insertion by going to Tools > Placeholders > Disable Placeholder Insertion (here’s a screenshot for reference). This can resolve styling issues with iframes that sometimes conflict with the theme’s styling.
However, simply enabling the YouTube service should work fine for your needs.
Please keep me updated.

You can try disabling the placeholder insertion by Complianz by enabling this feature in Tools > Placeholders > Disable Placeholder Insertion (here’s a screenshot for reference https://prnt.sc/Vt9WRPG7K7U6). This could be the solution for users experiencing styling issues with iframes, as it can sometimes conflict with the theme’s styling. Please keep me updated.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Problem integrating a scriptHello @auslandszeit ,
Thank you for reaching out.
I checked your site, and currently, the form seems to load every time, regardless of whether the cookies are accepted or not. I assume you’ve temporarily disabled the integration.
To troubleshoot this, you could try not inserting the div class inside the ingration, it’s worth a try. Additionally, it’s possible that the
div class="iaz-wayers-form"is being preloaded by Autoptimize (please check this screenshot https://prnt.sc/loXvZHB-FtuN), which might prevent the actual changes from showing. I suggest temporarily disabling Autoptimize while you test this. Once done, clear the cache and re-enable Autoptimize.Keep me updated.
Hello @ginavicente ,
Thank you for letting us know. As mentioned, our plugin does not work well with some plugins, especially LiteSpeed and its functionalities. The only crawler that will for sure work is Google’s.
Thanks for bringing this particular issue to our attention.
I hope this thread can help other users as well.
