In reply to: Help with comments, please?Yes! I came across that the other day and was going to use it for reference. Then I had to get off the computer and I could not find it again. I am bookmarking that now, though.
I knew it was very different from before. No where near as easy. Any reason why 1.2 is not still available?

In reply to: Help with comments, please? So I thought when you asked about what folder my files were in and I’ve started moving things around already.
I’ve read more documents on this in the last few days than you can imagine. It’s just a little overwhelming for me right now because I’ve been away from the net for a while. I’ve actually used WordPress before and had no problem at all with modifying it to my liking in one day. I don’t know if WP has changed that much since releasing 1.5 or I’m just out of practice.
Anyway, thanks for the help. I’m at least moving foward again, so that’s a plus.

In reply to: Bullets beside links won’t go awayYeah, I just installed Firefox on my new system today. I don’t know why I waited so long to get it back. I was lucky and only had to add a couple of br tags after div tags to view properly in Firefox. When it’s a personal site, I guess it doesn’t have to be perfectly valid, but I’d like it to be. Just so long as the “blog crowd” doesn’t run that validator on every site they go to, we’ll be alright.

In reply to: Bullets beside links won’t go awayAhhh, I see. I’m really bad about copying/pasting from layout to layout. I’ve done it for so long there are probably pieces in my coding that date back to 2000. *hangs head* I’m really glad you brought it to my attention, though. I will try harder from now on to keep current with things. 🙂

In reply to: Bullets beside links won’t go awayHoly close tags Batman! I’ve just run http://validator.w3.org/ and all it comes up with over and over are my close tags. < or > Don’t you have to have those? I mean, if you don’t have those things don’t show up. Interesting stuff. 😉

In reply to: Bullets beside links won’t go awayThanks. That did it.
I’m still far from finished revamping everything on my site. I actually c/p’d from some of my old (very old) css so it doesn’t surprise me that it’s not valid anymore. I am curious though, how do you know whether or not your css is valid? (well I guess those links will tell me that, huh?) I’ve viewed in IE and Firefox and everything looks peachy, aside from the fact that I haven’t finished the design by a long shot. Or does whether it’s viewable in all browsers come into play at all? Thanks for the links.

In reply to: Adding comments into my own layoutHey Bob, I had to just thank you again for the heads up about Firefox. I just downloaded it and all that I had to do was add “br tags” behind my divs. I thought it would be much worse. Anyway, I’ve been meaning to dl Firefox. I’ve just been putting it off because I would rather do other things, like try to figure out this wordpress issue. 😉 I’m glad you said something to make me do it. I forgot how awesome Firefox is. I cannot believe I put installing it off for one minute.
Back to my dashboard I go.
