Oh, and yes, I viewed source and the <head> tag is completely empty. No stylesheet on the email. So, in answer to your question, the Sub2 HTML plug in is NOT pulling a stylesheet onto the emails. Even though I have one linked into the template itself!

    Hi, mattyrob.

Subscribe2 HTML is not even pulling the WP theme, without any coding additions whatsoever. As a start, I have YES checked on Include theme CSS stylesheet in HTML notifications (Settings/Email Settings tab), but no styles are being rendered from the theme.

So I tried to code DIVs in the Template, using inline styling (no stylesheet), and only margins would move. No fonts, no colors, even though I put background color in and styled the font with a universal web font, etc.

The point is, no matter how I try to code this template, adding CSS to the theme’s stylesheet, pulling a separate stylesheet from our server, or using inline code, the only thing the template would render were tables. I had some luck with inline styling on the tables, but I realized that is not a long-term solution. And that also means the plug in wasn’t acting as it should, as you mention that using DIVs works.

So I am stymied and stuck completely. I’ve tested three different themes with Sub2 HTML and none of the CSS pulls into the email, even though YES is checked on Include theme CSS stylesheet in HTML notifications. Any intuitions about what might be wrong?

Thank you for the direction. I clicked the link in the Semper order email and it says: This order is no longer in the system.
(I didn’t have an account at Semper. The order went straight to PayPal and that’s where it was processed.)

The good news is that the plugin-update-checker.php is indeed in the classes folder in the subscribe2_html zip. So it must be missing on the server. I will get with our Network Admin.

Sorry to load your week with our issues.

I am using the EXACT zip file I downloaded from the Semper site on Friday, 12/14/2012 at 1:30 pm Central Time. So… as long as the Zip file I downloaded had everything we needed, then it must be a server issue. Have you made changes to the ZIP file on Semper since 12/14?
Is it possible the entire zip file didn’t download properly? How would I get another copy of the Zip from you if not?

My email is awaltz at marc.org if you think a new Zip file would help.

    Thank you.

Thank you, Matt. Appreciate the help.

    Hi, Matt,
We purchased the Subscribe2_HTML version on Friday from semper and have been using the zip file as is.

I was getting a fatal error using the WP UI upload function when I tried to ACTIVATE the plugin. So I asked my Network Admin to install it directly onto the server, but it didn’t work that way either.
Are we missing a file in this zip? Or is this a conflict with another plugin?

    Please help!!

    @mattyrob,

Thanks a million for the information. Appreciate your time and effort, AND your plugin!

    Cheers to you!

    Hi, mattyrob!

GREAT plug in. We had Subscribe2 for about two weeks and decided to upgrade to Subscribe2_HTML. Have a couple of questions about upgrading… will the new Subscribe2_HTML replace the old Subscribe2?
Should our Public Subscribers and Registered Subscribers get deleted out of Subscribe2?

I uploaded and installed the Subscribe2_HTML ZIP file and it was fine. But when I activated the plug-in, it cause a “Fatal error” on the Plugins page and refused to activate. Now my subscribers are gone from the old version, Subscribe2. (Yes, I exported them prior to trying the install.) Should I have deleted the old version first???

Do you want me to copy/paste the error message here?
    Please help!
    Thanks.
