In reply to: [WooCommerce] Checkout not loading / unable to receive ordersI can confirm the same issue – rolling back W3 Total Cache to 2.9.1 resolves the issue. I understand the W3 Total Cache support team have just release 2.9.4 to fix this, which I’ve not yet tested.

In reply to: [Code Snippets] File-based execution mode Fatal not handled@eusebiuoprinoiu for me to disable I removed the file, edited the corresponding database setting in the options table, and cleared Redis cache (maybe also OPcache – I can’t remember). I don’t know if it was the database edit or clearing cache that made the difference, but those were all the steps I took.
This was on a local single-site install – I’ve not yet tested on multisite. I’m waiting for a separate fix before I test that.
If the database edit is necessary, it’s possible the setting exists at both a ‘blog’ and ‘site’ level – again, I’ve not tested that yet.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Index WP MySQL For Speed] MultisiteHi Ollie, thanks for your response.
I made a mistake, apologies for the confusion – the question was intended for the Index Users plugin. I’ll report there for the sake of clarity.
Thanks though for the Edmund Turbin link – I’m taking a look now.
Multiple networks is many networks, each with many sites, all on a single installation – so it’s possible to Network Enable a plugin on one network of sites, without it being enabled on sites on other networks. But since the User table is shared across all sites on all networks, I’d imagine that enabling it on one network, would effectively apply to all.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Activity Log] update to 5.3.4.1 fatal error on postI can confirm this for multisite sites not using WooCommerce – the sites that are using WooCommerce are fine.
In this particular configuration there are two networks, WooCommerce is network enabled on one network, and on the other it’s not used at all.
If it helps, rolling back to ver 5.3.3 resolves the issue.Hi, I’ve never user the Global settings for a network.
What I can confirm is that with ver 2.9.7 the settings are there… I’ve just updated to ver 2.9.8 to test, and the settings where gone (from the admin page – the database is fine)… when I rolled-back to ver 2.9.7, the settings reappeared.
Clearing cache does not appear to have an impact.
Thank you for your time and attention to this – I understand it’s probably an edge case. When I have a moment I will go into the code and see where this is occurring.
Hi, please see here for typical settings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YedKwA58Jf1ymUEXw56OhfM3IUbA1R9E/view
Different sites use different email providers, but otherwise the settings are mostly consistent.
Since reverting the plugin back to ver 2.9.7 this problem has not reoccured.Thank you for your response.
I haven’t, no. Still monitoring the version rollback to see if that has made a difference. An update: I noticed that if I update the settings for one site, these reflected as the settings for other sites in the admin (database not affected). But it appears to be completely random: if I refresh the settings page, the correct settings are there… refresh again, and they’re gone.
This is affecting the sending of emails. This has only started within the last couple of days, so appears to coincide with the latest plugin update – will roll-back and see if that makes a difference.

In reply to: [iQ Block Country] IQ Block Country still not back on WP.orgFrom Pascal’s website (emphasis mine):
[…] WordPress reviewed the code after a small security issue was found […] (which was fixed in last update).
They found some other issues as well relating to “Best Practices” […]
I am currently working as hard as I can on updating the code […]
So no worries if you currently use the the plugin it is safe to keep using it, the project has not been abandoned […]
I am sorry but I cannot respond to everyone who has mailed as I obviously rather spend that time improving the plugin.

In reply to: [iQ Block Country] IQ Block Country still not back on WP.orgIs this even a valid security concern? Does keeping the plugin enabled compromise sites?
As I understand (please correct me), bypassing the block by spoofing an IP address is less than or equal to (in the extreme) of disabling the plugin. It’s security through obscurity. The worst case scenario in using the plugin is believing in it absolutely and not being vigilant vs understanding it’s just another layer that provides some protection but shouldn’t be relied on on its own.
