In reply to: cannot publish postspeaking with network solutions and they say that if I’ve used their hosting package to install wordpress I need to remain on 3.5! Network solutions support claims that my blog will be perfectly safe. Does this make sense?

In reply to: cannot publish postplugins deactivated. upgraded to latest version. before changing folder back to plugins, checked to see if I could add new post and it still doesn’t work. And this is without any active plugins.

In reply to: cannot publish postI selected all the plugins, clicked on deactivate, but it doesn’t say that the plugins are deactivated. The “deactivate” option is still available by each plugin. Can I go ahead and upgrade anyways?
Is it strange that I cannot deactivate the plugins?

In reply to: cannot publish postI tried updating to the latest version and everything got messed up so I rolled back to an older version. I’m not very technical (I have no idea how to change meta-values) so this looks like it’s going to be a big challenge. I also tried to deactivate all of my plugins at once, but nothing actually deactivated. Would you suggest simply upgrading to the latest version of wordpress and then working out the issues one by one? Must I upgrade the plugins first? (This is what I did before but the site got messed up).

In reply to: Ellipsis (3 dots) not working in search results pageThanks for the replies. Either option (full post display or clickable ellipses) would work for me. I’m just afraid that readers will not know to click in the title to read the rest of the entry and will be frustrated clicking on an unclickable ellipse. I’m not very comfortable with php so if you have any suggestions/instructions it would be much appreciated. Where can I see the search results template to make the _content change?

I had previously set my reading settings to show only excerpts. When landing on a results page after a search, the reader is not able to click on the three dots to read more. They have to click on the title. I’ve set the read settings to show the entire post but the three dots still appear and are not clickable. Please help! The site is http://www.europeanbiotechnologist.com. Searching for a word like “pcr” will give you a good idea of what I’m talking about.

In reply to: WP-stats plugin is broken since todayI’m having the same problem. When I click on the wordpress.com stats on my wordpress.org site it asks for my username and password and won’t accept my wordpress.org info. It only takes my wordpress.com info and redirects me to the stats for one of my other blogs!!!
