Support » Fixing WordPress » index page redirects to most recent post

  • I just upgraded to 3.0. For some reason, sometime after I upgraded, when I go to “www.mywebsite.com/blog/” I get redirected to “http://www.mywebsite.com/blog/2010/07/08/the-title-of-the-most-recent-post/”. This is true even if I unpublish that post and make it a draft, it still shows up and the front page still redirects to it. I haven’t changed anything major or put in new plugins recently.

How should I troubleshoot this? Where do I start?

Category archives work just fine by the way.

  • To explain better, when I go to “blog/” I’m seeing the url and content for the most recent post displayed on single.php instead of the 10 most recent posts on index.php. Even if I publish a new post called for example title_of_post2, “blog/” still redirects to “blog/date/title_of_post1”.

I have the same problem. Any answers?
