In reply to: [Plugin: The Events Calendar] current_page_item weirdnessHi Joey,
Even without the redirects we still get the weirdness.
My best guess is that it has something to do with how wordpress tries to guess your page if you have a typo in the pagename.
Though, the classes it adds don’t seem to be logical.
Ie, sometimes it add current_page_item, other times current_page_ancestor, without any current_page_item below.For the moment I am just removing the classes with jQuery, but it is definately a head scratcher.
I couldnt turn up anything in the codex about how wordpress applies the nav classes.
update:
I get the above error with this loop:$events= tribe_get_events(array('eventDisplay'=>'upcoming', 'posts_per_page'=>3) ); foreach( $events as $event ) : setup_postdata($event);however, if i call events like so:
query_posts('showposts=3&post_type=tribe_events');if(have_posts()) { $x = 1; while (have_posts()) { the_post();the tribe_get_start_date() function works correctly.
Id like to add, that on the same page, with non-recurring fields, get() works fine.
Hi, I just applied the patch.
Pre patch, the function output nothing.
Post patch it is outputting today’s date, rather than the event date.wp: 3.2.1
tec, tec pro: 2.0.2<div class='month'><?php echo tribe_get_start_date( null, false, 'M' ); ?></div> <div class='day'><?php echo tribe_get_start_date( null, false, 'd' ); ?></div>fwiw, this is in my local testing environment.
I figured this out.
The sidebar registered in functions.php
and the sidebar output on the template had different names.duh.

In reply to: [Plugin: Custom Sidebar] Undefined index on line 437Same thing happening on a second wordpress site.
I can access the settings page on my local site, but not on the remote site.
On the local site with wp_debug i see this error:Notice: Use of undefined constant manage_options – assumed ‘manage_options’ in /Users/alvar/Sites/ds/dmy/wp/wp-content/plugins/share-this/sharethis.php on line 606
Me too.
I am getting a blank page when trying to add a new gallery.
When I add a new image, the flash uploader goes to 100% then the page goes blank. If I check the gallery, the image isnt there.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Recommended memory allocationbumo….anyone?
I found another post that helped me to clarify this.
&cat=nn&eventDisplay=upcoming
where nn is the category number of the Events category in your WrodPress blog. That may be obvious to veterans in using “the loop” to get stuff from WordPressI agree with mgreis, I thought it was some special query construct than realizing I had to enter the cat id.
Anyway, to limit the amount of posts I could not figure out how to use get_events(), so I ended up with just using a for loop with a counter in place of while(have_posts()) loop.Hi, Ive been trying out this code on 3.1 and I am getting 0 results.
Any idea if something might be different?When I remove
&meta_key=_EventStartDate&meta_compare=>=&meta_value='.$todaysDate.'&orderby=meta_valueFrom the query string I get results, but obviously that is exactly the utility of this code.
I wonder that wp is smart enough to parse a date with meta_compare, but apparently it has worked for other people here.Thanks,
alvarps, originally I thought that using this in a query string:
&cat=&eventDisplay=upcoming
as listed on the plugin page, would produce the same results, but I get the following error:Notice: Undefined index: displayEventsOnHomepage in /Users/alvar/Sites/DS/forge/trunk/wp/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/template-tags.php on line 13 WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND wp_term_taxonomy.taxonomy = 'category' AND wp_posts.post_status = 'publis' at line 9] SELECT wp_posts.*, d1.meta_value as EventStartDate , d2.meta_value as EventEndDate FROM wp_posts LEFT JOIN wp_postmeta as d1 ON(wp_posts.ID = d1.post_id) LEFT JOIN wp_postmeta as d2 ON(wp_posts.ID = d2.post_id) LEFT JOIN wp_term_relationships ON(wp_posts.ID = wp_term_relationships.object_id) LEFT JOIN wp_term_taxonomy ON(wp_term_relationships.term_taxonomy_id = wp_term_taxonomy.term_taxonomy_id) WHERE wp_term_taxonomy.term_id = AND wp_term_taxonomy.taxonomy = 'category' AND wp_posts.post_status = 'publish' AND d1.meta_key = '_EventStartDate' AND d2.meta_key = '_EventEndDate' AND ( d1.meta_value > "2011-03-16 15:22:01" OR ( d1.meta_value < "2011-03-16 15:22:01" AND d2.meta_value > "2011-03-16 15:22:01" ) ) ORDER BY d1.meta_value ASC LIMIT 10Forum: Plugins

In reply to: Call to undefined function the_author_posts_link()ok, the wrong syntax,
the_authors_post_link()
is what is shown in code examples here: http://codex.wordpress.org/The_Loop.
Somebody needs to update that page. I tried but I dont have permission.The correct function is indeed:
the_author_posts_link()I think the function name may have recently changed?
Thanks.
