In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] WP 2.8.4 and NEXTGen seems doesn’t work properlyApplied the patch file, ngg-patch.patch, now the paths of the images are
domain.com/wp-content/wp-content/gallery/rw_acds_fall08/thumbs/img.jpgIt is adding wp-content twice.
This happens regardless of what option I put in gallery path in admin, or after adding an explicit path for wp-congfig in ngg-config.phpForum: Plugins

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] WP 2.8.4 and NEXTGen seems doesn’t work properlythanks for pointing me to that patch. I hope I don’t sound too daft, but the .patch file, are those instructions for you to manually edit the files, or is there some mechanism by which it can run the updates automatically?

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] WP 2.8.4 and NEXTGen seems doesn’t work properlyI changed my directory structure during this upgrade to the following:
/wordpress (core files) /wp-content (my files)now ng is still looking for photos in the WordPress dir after having changed the Gallery Path setting to /wp-content/gallery (I also tried an absolute http:// path).
To test whether I had to rebuild the galleries after entering the new setting, when I tried to upload a new image it still created the folders in the wordpress/ dir, AND failed to upload the photo to those dirs it created.
Quite a mouthful, I know. Thanks for the great plugin, and I hope these issue can be resolved soon.

In reply to: Displaying a category on a template so it matches the page nameThanks esmi. That isn’t much different from what I am doing though.
I was hoping some sort of efficiency could be achieved from the fact that the page name and cat name are the same.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: Displaying cats with same title as pageThe reason for the pregmatch is because this query occurs on a template that spans several pages (ie. about, video, books) so I need to create the query dynamically.

In reply to: Displaying cats with same title as pagedoc4,
Thanks, you know a lot more about wordpress than I do it seems, but I don’t think you are solving my problem. In your example I would need to grab cat=6 dynamically from the current page, which means I cant use the numeric ids, rather the slug strings. Eg:I have a page named about that I want to automatically display posts in the about category as well. Hence the chopping of the url in my example, to parse the about page url to create the category query.
Ideally the solution would work across multiple page/cat intersections, ie as a template for multiple pages.

In reply to: How to test php error loggingI thought the point was to give you quick access to php settings:
Because wp-config.php… it is an excellent location to set php ini settings that control your php installation.
Anyway, thanks for your insight.

In reply to: How to test php error loggingThanks. I added that and it certainly populated my error log.
However I still have two problems:- Enabling wp_debug prints php errors to screen. That is not very cool. Is it meant to just be turned on when you are actively debugging?
- I created a test page with an intentional php error, test.php. Visting the page I saw the error printed to screen, but it didnt show up in the error log.
Any ideas? Thanks again.
