Thanks for your message.
As this is being handled via another support channel, we’ll close this ticket.
Thank you.
Hi @karlo1,
Thank you for your message.
For the message to display, the hook needs to be one that is implemented by the theme used. The default hook (
woocommerce_single_product_summary) exists in many themes but not all. If it does not exist, a separate hook will need to be set. The team would be happy to investigate further. To facilitate this please submit a support request including a link to this post using the following web form: https://help.afterpay.com/hc/requests/new?ticket_form_id=193406A member of the team will then reach out to you within 1 business day.

In reply to: [Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce] Which plugin? Why two Afterpays?Hi @aaron843,
Thank you for your message.
Afterpay the ‘buy now, pay later’ electronic payment service, where the customer pays in 4 payments, from Afterpay Limited operates under the name ‘Afterpay’ in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Canada and ‘Clearpay’ in the UK and EU.
If you’re looking for this service, please refer to the Afterpay plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/afterpay-gateway-for-woocommerce/ (for US, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian merchants) or the Clearpay plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/clearpay-gateway-for-woocommerce/ (for UK and EU merchants).
Thank you.

In reply to: [Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce] Causing critical error on siteHi @webmatters,
Thank you for your message.
It appears that the Afterpay shortcode has been used on non-WooCommerce pages. Whilst the engineering team is investigating and looking to improve the plugin, please try deactivating the Afterpay plugin temporarily. Then remove the shortcode from the pages in question, before re-activating the Afterpay plugin again.
Thank you.

In reply to: [Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce] Afterpay info not on single lineHi @spva,
Thank you for your message, and thanks to @galbaras for taking the time to assist.
There are a number of ways that this could be solved. The first two being the methods that @galbaras has mentioned. Please only use one of these:
1. Override styles: Go to the WordPress Dashboard > appearance > customise > Additional CSS. In the text box enter the following css. This will only affect elements inside of the Afterpay message on the product listing pages.
.woocommerce ul.products li.product .afterpay-payment-info img { display: inline-block; max-width: 120px; margin-bottom: 0; } .woocommerce ul.products li.product .afterpay-payment-info strong { display: inline; }2. Remove bold text: Go to the WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Afterpay. In the editor under the “Payment Info on Category Pages” section select [AMOUNT] and remove the bold styling.
3. Update the plugin: Version 3.3.0 uses the Afterpay Javascript library to display the message. The styles are scoped and therefore should not be affected by the theme styling. After updating, the settings will need to be saved for the plugin, by going to the WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Afterpay and clicking save. The update also contains options that will shorten the message if this is desired. Options include:
data-show-interest-free,data-payment-amount-is-bold,data-intro-text. As always whenever doing updates like this on a production website the Afterpay team recommend backing up site files and database.Thank you.

In reply to: [Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce] Add Afterpay to User Member PageHi @amirbrooks,
Thanks for your message.
Is it the ‘pay for order’ page being referred to here? Afterpay is available for any pending order, as long as the total amount is within the merchant’s order limits and there are no ineligible products in the order.
Thank you.

In reply to: [Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce] Add Woocommerce Block SupportHi @judyangel,
Thank you for your message.
The engineering team appreciates the demand expressed for this feature. As of yet there is no timeline locked in for release. As always any updates will be distributed via the WordPress Plugin Directory.
Thank you.
Hi @embercide,
Thanks for the follow up question.
Afterpay redirects to the “pay for order” page in WC v5.5.2 as well. It has been the intended behaviour since version 3.1.0 of the Afterpay plugin.
Thank you.
Hi @embercide,
Thank you for the message.
Users will be redirected to the ‘Pay for order’ page instead of the checkout page, when they cancel at the gateway window. At this point in time, the order has already been created in WooCommerce and is in ‘Pending Payment’ state. Users can attempt the payment again with Afterpay, or choose an alternative payment option to complete the order on the ‘Pay for order’ page.
Thank you.
