To continue to use the rich text editor, please roll back the Afterpay plugin to v3.2.3, which is available for download here. Alternatively, please wait for the 2022 January release, where the instalment message for variable products will be improved to read “or 4 payments as low as $x.xx with Afterpay”.

The change from a text editor to the placement attributes is intended to improve consistency and ensure compliance. The message – “available for orders between $1 – $2,000” – indicates that the product is outside of the Afterpay order limits, or it is a variable product with a price range. In the latter case, the message will be improved to read “as low as $xx” in the next release, which has been postponed to January 2022 due to the code freeze period of the holiday season. The online documentation will be updated as soon as possible.

The French language for Canada has been included in the next release, which will be available in January 2022. The Afterpay Express Checkout provides a fast and consistent purchase experience for consumers. Furthermore, there are strict privacy considerations applicable for all personal information shared between Afterpay and retailers.
To ensure any extra mandatory fields are provided, please disable the express checkout feature, and allow consumers to place their orders via the WooCommerce standard checkout flow.

Thanks for your honest review.
The team have retested the notice dismissal in a clean installation and were unable to reproduce the behaviour described in this post. The dismissal is handled by the afterpay-admin.js file. Clicking either the “Rate now” or the close button “X” would update the value of WordPress option
afterpay_rate_notice_dismissto “yes” in the database, and prevent the server from rendering the notice on admin pages.Best guess at this point is that a JavaScript error is blocking the execution of the afterpay-admin.js file.

The provided example is a Shopify website which updates its only price tag when a variant is selected, whereas WooCommerce shows additional pricing for variants when selected.
The provided screenshot is as expected though. The message under the radio button is controlled by the Payment Info Display for Product Variant, while the one at the top is controlled by the Payment Info on Individual Product Pages. The installment message for variable products will be improved to include a feature for “as low as” pricing in the next release scheduled for January 2022.

Do you mind sharing an example of the sales record/receipt? Having an Afterpay token should not prevent an order from being paid with other payment methods. WooCommerce should update the order with whichever payment method was used to complete the payment, regardless of what was selected at the checkout when the order was first placed.

print_info_for_product_detail_page()if a product is of type variable.Thank you.

As a page builder is being used, the
[afterpay_paragraph]shortcode will need to be used. This can usually be done with Elementor by going to the dashboard > Templates > Theme Builder and editing the single product template. Then add the shortcode where desired.Thank you.

The rich text editor has been removed from v3.3.0 of the Afterpay plugin onwards. It was intended to ensure compliance with regulations, and to improve consistency of the Afterpay messaging across the globe. Merchants can still style the messaging with available options provided here using data attributes.
