In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Facebook share formatAnybody home?
Since I have not heard from the JetPack team in three days, I decided to find a different solution and installed a new plugin to handle this matter. As far as JetPack is concerned, I am not sure if the matter is worth looking into it. I am not marking this matter resolved because it has not been, I simply found a workaround.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Facebook share formatIf I manually post a link to my timeline it shows properly as it used to when JetPack shared it. I have not changed anything on my installation and the shares to Google+ and Twitter look fine. It is possible that Facebook changed something that the JetPack team is not aware of. We’ll see.

@wfalaa, it looked just like a regular lock out screen. I did not think of taking a screen capture and my live view does not seem to go back to 7/18 as I apply a filter from 7/18 to 7/19 nothing shows.

I noticed it on one of the sites I maintain and another one is free from the error! They both have the same JP 5.1. Something else is involved somehow.
I have found the culprit and it is not what I suspected. If “Enable Right Click and Copy” addon is enabled, the described behavior happens. When I disable that piece, the behavior returns to normal.
I hope this helps fix what appears to be a “rare problem” but a problem nevertheless.

My Firefox version is 53.0.3 (64-bit). I have a list of addons: All in One Sidebar, Dashlane, DownThemAll, Enable Right Click and Copy, Evernote Web Clipper, Goo.gl lite, Grammarly for Firefox, IP Address and Doman Information, uBlock Origin, Saved Password Editor, Password Exporter.
My guess is that the conflict may be either because I am using the 64-bit version or Grammarly addon.

Jeremy, it still happens in Firefox! I am now mainly using Chrome but opened a post, edited, and clicked on Update and saw the depressed mode of the spell check and all the words it thinks are wrong are underlined in red, this is after I clicked on OK to ignore the mistakes. I do not see this behavior in Chrome.

In reply to: [SSL Insecure Content Fixer] Shows update but cannot complete itIt failed when I tried to update it from the plugins page but the update worked from the Updates page.
Thanks

Jeremy, I needed to update my latest post and carefully observed the behavior in Chrome when I clicked Update. The alert window appeared, but when I clicked OK it went ahead and published/updated the post. I don’t know what to say! Chrome behaved as expected.

I will go through the steps next time I write a post. Even if I mark a dummy post with noindex by putting a checkmark in the field next to it, Google almost instantly enters it in its list and then produces an error if it cannot find it. That’s the reason for the wait.

Jeremy, it has just happened in Chrome as well in exactly the same way. Upon clicking on Publish, a window came up and warned me that some errors were found. I was instructed to click OK to ignore the warning and publish or click on Cancel to correct the problems. I clicked on OK and found myself staring at the post, then noticed that the spell checker icon was in depressed position. I clicked Publish again, and the post got published. Would you like me to send you a list of my plugins in both browsers?
