plug in was automatically deactivated on my site. When I try to activate it the following error message is displayed
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘?’ in /home/phuswl/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/enhanced-tooltipglossary/settings/Settings.php on line 32

No code has been edited by me. Problem appears to be the result of an automatic update of either WP or CM tooltip glossary plugin.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

This line contains the PHP feature which is only available in PHP7. So that means your site is probably still running on a very old PHP 5.6. Please upgrade your PHP version and this error will be gone.

    Hi,

I have the same problem. But the website is running with PHP 7.3.5 version

Are you sure it’s exactly the same problem? As the only reason why there could be such error on this particular line and file could be related to the version <7.0.0

Unfortunately, I can no longer determine what was the cause of the automatic shutdown after the first update. It doesn’t automatically shut down now when I activate the plugin, but the content is completely shifted. Even after the new update. What could be the reason for this? My theme is Neve.

Neve, since it seems like you’re experiencing a different problem I invite you to open a separate thread and post the link to your site there in a secure way (so only we’ll be able to see it). If I can look at it perhaps I’d be able to see what’s going on.
