Viewing Options Popup freezes

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

I have tested it on my test site using latest version of Custom Sidebars plugin and found it’s working fine.

This can also be due to plugin/theme conflict which may be generating JavaScript error on your site.

Can you check the javascript console for errors?

In Chrome go to “View -> Developer -> Javascript Console” and in Firefox you can go to “Tools -> Web Developer -> Console”

Let me know what errors if any you are getting when you face this issue.

Also to find find out plugin/theme conflict you can just try on your development site using default WordPress theme like Twenty Thirteen and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

I’ve had this plugin for over a year. Mine has always done this. When I try to create a sidebar, or edit a sidebar, it freezes. But if I refresh the page, the sidebar is created. However, now it’s screwing up the CSS from my Theme in the Widget styles. Not sure if the issues are related, but it would sure help me figure it out if I could get past this freezing issue.

My Java Console says:

It’s confirmed from your shared JavaScript error messages that the JavaScript error message “Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function” is causing this issue for you.

To find out which plugin/theme is causing this JavaScript error message you can just try on your development site using default WordPress theme like Twenty Thirteen and deactivating all other plugins except Custom Sidebars as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.
