JSON Format Error

I get the following when attempting to connect Site Kit with my property.

Unable to authenticate Site Kit. Check your client configuration is in the correct JSON format.

I have tried implemented in Incognito mode, as well as with the likes of UpdraftPlus deactivated.

Suggestions?

@voisd If you haven’t already updated to the latest version of the plugin please do, before attempting setup again. If that fails do you have any other WordPress websites on the same web host you can check with? There may be a configuration setting or host software impacting setup.

@reneesoffice I ended up removing the plugin as no resolution can be found.

Thanks for the update! Have you seen any errors in the browser console?

In general, it is advised to temporarily disable caching and security plugins and measures during setup. See our documentation (WordFence’s Firewall can interfere with the setup process in some cases).

@reneesoffice I reinstalled the plugin (as it had previously been removed), went through the verification process and despite not disabling any other plugins it has now verified and installed (so i don’t know if there has perhaps been a version update to the plugin since my original attempt. No clue what has resolved the issue but at least it works now 😉 Thanks for your help!
