Problem with importing CSV file

I have a csv file with 12186 total entries. When I import the file it says “Your CSV file cannot be processed. It may contains wrong delimiter, kindly choose another delimiter.”
If I try to import only the first 300 (or a little more than 300) entries out of 12186 it successfully imports. But it doesn’t accepts complete list.
Kindly also mention what was the problem with the file for getting failed to import.
