receiving the following error when trying to connect google analytics:
“We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID AW-XXXXXXXXXX), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.”

the redacted number is NOT my analytics property. where is the site kit plugin pulling this number from? everywhere i’ve checked i see i have the correct property configured.

@tsabar Did you have any developer releases or beta releases of the plugin active previously? If not there may be other plugins, theme settings or caching causing this issue. There was a known bug which was resolved in developer release versions which has also been resolved. Please follow the steps below:
    1. Uninstall and deactivate the Site Kit plugin
    2. Temporarily deactivate any caching plugins you might have active
    3. Install Site Kit from the WordPress Repository
    4. Install Site Kit in a new incognito window

I had the same issue – deactivating the plugin
“WooCommerce Google Ads Conversion Tracking” and connecting Analytics again worked for me.

i don’t have that plugin but i still have the issue

@jcvangent Nice troubleshooting, and you are correct. The AMP plugin, like many other plugins have Analytics features.

@tsabar Do you have Google Tag Manager added to your site, check for any Analytics related containers. If you have any other plugins or theme settings for Analytics please check for any references. I would also suggest updating to the latest version of the Site Kit plugin, there is an update available (1.0.1).

i disabled a bunch of plugins, and then was able to activate. unfortunately, i don’t know which plugin was the culprit so my suggestion to others is a shotgun approach toward disabling a bunch at a time.

@tsabar even though you resolved this issue already, we applied a fix in the plugin with the new version 1.0.2. Thanks again for your report!

@reneesoffice I’m having this issue as well and I can’t figure it out. All of my plugins are updated. Site Kit version I have is 1.1.4
