    Hi there

    The placeholder text doesn’t display correctly. It displays the first few letters of the placeholder text (i.e. Na…. and Ema…) on the right-hand side of the module field boxes, then the rest of the letters disappear.

    I’ve deleted the plugin then uploaded and activated it again without success. I’d deactivated all other plugins without any success.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers…

    Chris.

    P.S – The Labels for the Module Fields don’t display at all. Wouldn’t mind that being available as well.

    UPDATE: I’ve just discovered it’s the theme (Zerif Lite) that is causing the issue. I subsequently found this CSS Code on a WPMUDev forum:

    .wpoi-element input {
    text-align: center;
    }
    .wpoi-hustle form .wpoi-element label .wpoi-icon {
    float: left;
    }
    .wpoi-hustle form .wpoi-element label {
    width: 100%;
    text-align: center;
    }

    It has brought to left enough so that it’s at least visible. Although it is still displaying on the right-hand side of the field boxes.

    Any suggestions for additions to the CSS Code to bring the placeholder text all the way across to the left of the field box?

    Thanks again…

    P.S – Still no fix for the missing Module Fields text.

    UPDATE 2: I just tried to sign up for the newsletter, and despite being connected to the MailChimp list, I got a “Something went wrong, please try again message.”

    Any assistance with that issue would also be greatly appreciated!

    Chris.

    Thank you for the updates. We are currently working on upgrading the MailChimp API and are in the final stages of testing. This is what is causing the “Something went wrong, please try again message.”

    In the meantime, some of our users have found success with following these steps.
    – Create a new API key on MailChimp
    – Add a new email to the list (even if you have others added)
    – Entered new API in Hustle
    – Reactivate the Hustle pop-up & widget

    I hope this helps as a temporary solution while we work to integrate the new API! I will post back as soon as the patch is available.

    Hi jdailey

    Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I really appreciate it.

    I followed the steps your other users have followed without any luck unfortunately.

    Any other suggestions? How long until the MailChimp API issue is resolved?

    Thanks again…

    Chris.

    Hi, Chris! I do not have an exact time frame but we are hoping for a release early this week. So sorry for the inconvenience.

    The Mailchimp API update has been released. Thank you for using Hustle. Let us know if you encounter any issues after running the update.

    Hi jdailey

    Unfortunately, the update hasn’t made any difference to the Hustle plugin on my website. The placeholder display is still aligned to the right (and out of view for most of the text), and the MailChimp API doesn’t work. I still get the “Something went wrong, please try again message.”

    I’ve created a new MailChimp API and deactivated, then reactivated the Hustle plugin. No joy.

    Until the next update…

    Chris.

    Hello Chris,

    Hope you’re doing well!

    Please let me know, is your MailChimp list is empty? If it is, please add at least one contact address to the list and try again to connect to Mailchimp via Hustle.

    Please let me know how it went!

    Cheers,
    Nastia

    Hi Nastasia, I’m doing well thanks. And you?

    I’ve previously added a couple of names to the list, but no joy. I know that the problem is with my theme (Zerif Lite). When I disable it, the plugin works just fine. However, I’m hoping the plugin and theme might play nice within an update or two. Or there may be some CSS code I can use to resolve the issue?

    Cheers…

    Chris.

    Thank you for the follow-up and troubleshooting. Sorry to hear you are having a conflict with your theme. I will pass this information along to the developers and see if we can find a patch or fix.

    @chrisappleford one of our developers created a new patch for the Mailchimp API and asked if you could test it and share a link where he can look at the CSS if the issue continues. You can find the patch and instructions here:

    Hi @jdailey, thanks for the link and looking into the issue for me. That’s awesome!

    Unfortunately, there is no .zip file to download at https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/hustle-error-something-went-wrong#post-1254240

    Are you able to send the .zip file to [ redacted, support is not offered via email, Skype, IM etc. only in the forums ]

    Thanks 🙂

    Just sent the file. Please let us know if you need anything else!

    Hi @jdailey

    Unfortunately when I upload the unzipped file, as in the instructions at https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/hustle-error-something-went-wrong#post-1254240, it doesn’t go so well. Right across the top of my website, in massive letters, I get this message:

    Warning: include_once(opt-in-mailchimp-api.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/folsomhe/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popup/inc/providers/opt-in-mailchimp.php on line 5

    Warning: include_once(): Failed opening ‘opt-in-mailchimp-api.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/opt/php70/lib/php’) in /home2/folsomhe/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popup/inc/providers/opt-in-mailchimp.php on line 5

    And in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, I get this message:

    Invalid <!DOCTYPE> declaration. Sumo may not display correctly. learn more

    I don’t know anything about plugins and code, and this is a complete guess, but the plugin isn’t called ‘Hustle’ in the cPanel. It’s called ‘WordPress-Popup’. Could this have anything to do with the error messages?

    I guess we’re back to square one?

    Cheers…

    Chris.

    Sorry @chrisappleford! Let me check with the developer and get back to you. The free version is called WordPress-Popup. The Pro version directory is Hustle.
