Hi there! Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
Thanks for the link! It looks like there is an issue with Jetpack’s connection on your site. That would explain the trouble you’ve been experiencing with stats!
Could you please try disconnecting and then reconnecting Jetpack to WordPress.com?
To do so, navigate to Dashboard > Jetpack. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Disconnect from WordPress.com” link. After doing so, click the “Connect to Get Started” button to reconnect.
Please let me know when you have done so, and I will check that your connection is working properly on our end.
Hi Ryan –
Thank you so much for your swift response. I don’t even get the option to “disconnect” —- just to “connect” —- and when I do that, that’s when I get that error. It’s weird. It was connected fine all day yesterday. Then POOF.
Kelly
Thanks for the update, Kelly. Can you please reinstall the Jetpack plugin manually? This will allow us to rule out a corrupt installation.
To do so, download the Jetpack plugin here:
http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.latest-stable.zip
Then, log in to your site via FTP, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder. You should then be able to reinstall the plugin manually by following the instructions here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation
I would strongly recommend that you make a complete backup of your website before trying this.
Please let me know how this works for you, and we can go from there!
I’m sad to report that it didn’t.
🙁
Invalid request, please go back and try again.
Error Code: invalid_client
Error Message: The required “client_id” parameter is missing.
Thanks again for giving that a shot. Would you mind collecting some more information about your site logs, so we can investigate further?
Start by trying to connect Jetpack once again. Then, review your server’s error logs; if you do not know where to find this data, your hosting provider should be able to help.
Hey Ryan –
I’ve got my error log (which is HUGE) open up, so let me know what I’m looking for?
Thanks
Kelly

Could you try to increase the memory allocated to PHP on your site, and let me know if it helps?

Ok, I finally got to look into this, it’s already at 128, so I’m thinking it’s not that. Any other suggestions?
Now it’s somehow working…. this is weird!! I *think* we’re ok. I deactivated it (again), deleted it (again), redownloaded it (again), activated it (again) and POOF!
Cross your fingers!
not solved with me… same progression. deleted and re-installed, but nothing, can’t connect jetpack. happened after an update process went wrong, and I had to re-install it from scratch
Sorry, I couldn’t wait, I re-installed WordPress from scratch, now it’s working. Hope that knowing that it happens helps to solve it.
thx
chris
@saucewear: Just to confirm, have you managed to resolve the issue?
