    Hi
Can you confirm how we download an image from the directory once uploaded, we have uploaded images to a directory but when we click on the file name. It just opens a new tab with the image.

how do we get it to download into a file like when we click on a PDf?

    please confim

    Thank you for your help

    Hi
We are now using your shortcode:

    [fileaway base=”3″ manager=”on” makedir=”true” type=”table” directories=”true” paginate=”false” bulkdownload=”on”]

    [vc_file_away file_away_kind=”fileup” file_away_directory=”3″ file_away_customattr=”matchdrawer=true“]

The image files now it open in a new tab, what attributes can we use to make it download to file, instead of a new tab?

    Please confirm
    Thank you

Show me a screenshot of your new window setting. Can you provide me a link to the page in question?

    Hi thomstark

New Window: .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .jpg, .png, .gif, .mp3, .mp4,

The site is being designed at the moment, not live.

    thank you for your help

You are telling it to open in a new tab. That’s what I asked you several days ago and you said jpg wasn’t listed in your new window setting. But it is, as you indicate now. You are telling file away to open pdf, doc, xls, jpg, png, gif, mp3 and mp4 files in a new tab. Delete all those and save settings.

    Hi thomstark
We only added them today, because when we delete them all and save settings they all open up on the same tab and we have to click back to get onto the website again.

This still happens with the new shortcode?

    Please confirm why
    Thank you

I can’t tell you why because it doesn’t do that in any of my installs, or any of my customer’s installs, because File Away explicitly says to download the files unless you tell it otherwise.

I dont know what changes to my plugin the theme it’s bundled with have made, and I can’t look at your site, so there’s not much I can tell you.

    I can’t duplicate your issue.
