There’s an Open in New Tab setting on the File Away settings page. Perhaps you have it set to open images in a new tab?

    Hi thomstark
Thank you for your quick reply.

If you mean in the “New Window” we dont have jpg in there?

At the moment we click on the image link in the directory and the screen fades and the image displays, we click on the down arrow, it just opens in a new tap.

But we click on a docx or pdf files and it downloads into a file straight away?

Please confirm how we do this for images.

    Thank you for your help

Are you using IE or Safari?

    Hi
    No Google Chrome?

Then I don’t know what to tell you. My images in the flightbox all download in Chrome, and if it is not IE or Safari, the code specifically tells it to download and not open in a new window from the flightbox.

    Hi
When you say “My images in the flightbox” do we need to put images into flightbox?

No your images are already in the flightbox. That’s the popup window that opens up where you view the images and pdfs, before downloading them.

Did you install the File Away plugin yourself or are you using it in a bundle from a theme?

    bundle from a theme?

Are you saying you don’t know if it came bundled? Or are you saying you don’t understand what “bundle from a theme” means?

Some WordPress themes bundle File Away as part of their theme.

Did you install the File Away plugin yourself, or did it come with your WordPress theme?

It come with a your WordPress Theme but we had to install it within the plugin section. If that helps?

Ok. I dont write themes, for the record.

Can you show me your shortcode?

    Hey
    Please see below page shortcode:

    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_file_away file_away_customattr=”manager=on”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_file_away file_away_kind=”fileup” file_away_customattr=”matchdrawer=true“][/vc_column][/vc_row]

    Thanks for your help

Ok, so that’s not one of my shortcodes. The theme you’re using has bundled my plugin into their theme and created their own shortcode scheme. I dont know how they’ve modified the way File Away functions so you will need to ask them about this.

In Chrome, the normal behavior of file away is for images to download, not open in a new tab.

    Hi
The code i sent you does include the page builder code to.

Can you provide your page shortcode to see if that works?

    Thanks
