After upgrading the WordPress to 7.1.3, I am unable to delete multiple selected pages. If I delete each page individually, no issues, and if I select more than 1 page delete does not happen.

Same with updating plugins. Single works, multiple do not.

Same server, but WordPress 7.1.1, everything works on another website.

    PHP Version 8.3FPM

  • Hi @raunharmantech ,

I haven’t seen similar reports of this issue about wordpres core. I quickly tested on WordPress Playground with all plugins inactive, and I could delete multiple pages without any problem.

This points to a conflict with one of your plugins or your theme. Please try the following:

    1. Deactivate all plugins and switch to a default theme, then test the bulk delete again. If it works, re-enable the plugins one at a time to find the one causing it. The Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin lets you do this without affecting your visitors.
    2. Check your WordPress error logs. Try enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and review wp-content/debug.log) for any errors after a failed bulk action. Find more information here:

      https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/faq-troubleshooting/
    3. Go to Tools → Site Health and look for critical issues or recommendations.

I hope it helps, feel free to reach out in case you have any other questions or need more help!
    Best regards,

Does it work if you only select two?

Have you tried disabling all plugins just to rule them out as the cause?

Have you tried using a different browser?

i did a fresh install of wordpress 7.1.1 . Tried deleting by selecting 4 posts to delete. Success.

    updated to 7.1.3, ISSUE started

@raunharmantech Thanks for sharing the additional information. It looks like one of your plugins is not compatible with WordPress 7.1.3, which is why you can’t delete multiple pages. I assure you that the problem is not with WordPress core files but one of the plugin/theme.

I recommend deactivating all plugins and switching to a default theme on staging site, then testing the bulk delete again. If it works, re-enable the plugins one at a time to find the one causing the problem. The Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin lets you do this without affecting your visitors on production website.

    What about this?

Have you tried using a different browser?

have you tried using a different browser to see if the issue still happens? Since everything worked on WordPress 7.1.1 and the problem started after updating to 7.1.3, it might help to rule out a browser-related issue first like the mod said
