Thanks for this. However, after further investigation, I think I’ve narrowed down further what’s going on and would appreciate some further help from anyone who may have any suggestions.
I’ve noticed that the additional padding/margin only appears when I’m using this tag.
<center>content</center>It adds a big white space before the opening tag and after the closing tag, but I can’t seem to see in the coding why it has only just started causing this on both new and past posts using this.
Any ideas at all?

Do you know where on the wp-config.php file I’d place define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true ); ?

In reply to: Error establishing a database connectionManaged to find the wp-config.php file and download two copies (one for backup) – just don’t know how to go about finding the following info to adjust and correct if needed.
define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘database-name’);

I’m using a VPS.

In reply to: Error establishing a database connectionI can access the database via my hosts control panel. It’s not managed hosting, they just offer technical support. When I spoke to them they said they can’t enter the server directly. They can just give general advice, which was to restart the server.
