Support » Fixing WordPress » Additional padding with embeds and headings

  • Hi there,

On my site there appears to be some additional padding appearing above and/or below embeds and header text (h1, h2, h3, etc) that wasn’t there before, and appeared a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve noticed this happen with images, social media embeds, and video embeds on posts/pages only and not elsewhere, but I can’t seem to find on the CSS how this has been added. However, the issue seemed to crop up not long after a WordPress version update so may be related.

    The site in question is

If anyone has any ideas on what may have caused this and/or how to resolve it then I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions you may have.

    Thanks,
    Zach

    Hi,

Thanks for this. However, after further investigation, I think I’ve narrowed down further what’s going on and would appreciate some further help from anyone who may have any suggestions.

I’ve noticed that the additional padding/margin only appears when I’m using this tag.

    <center>content</center>

It adds a big white space before the opening tag and after the closing tag, but I can’t seem to see in the coding why it has only just started causing this on both new and past posts using this.

    Any ideas at all?
