I just saw that on my panel I can change my php version, you might wanna see if you are having the same option. Ill double check my phpinfo stats and stack them against the requirements.
Did that too Im afraid, and when I edited the functions.php of theme I was using only the home page and one other page worked. All the others were broken. I only had like 4 pages and 1 post since it was a brand new site. Im afraid Im just giving in.

I just followed the advice of the codex, but for some reason I couldnt access my wp-admin folder any more, nor the login functions any more.
