Thank you for the detailed message.
We were able to replicate the issue on Safari. We already fixed it and everything will work well starting with the next update of the plugin.
Regarding the issue from Chrome, it would be helpful if you could give me a few more details regarding the unclear quality of the video. Is it a broken image? Or maybe a low-resolution (pixelated) image? Also, it would be really helpful to know what kind of device and operating system are you using.
I just want to make sure that we are testing this out in the same environment, to see the issue and look for a fix.

I’m so sorry to hear that you are having issues opening your live stream from your phone. Just to confirm – are you not able to actually go LIVE on your phone or to view the live stream?
Alongside your response above, it would also be helpful to know the device you are using, software version, and the browser that you are on (and it if it works on other browsers if you’ve tried)
The more information you can provide alongside the steps you’ve taken would help us replicate on our environment and get this resolved ASAP. Looking forward to your response!

Thanks for getting in touch and I am sorry to hear that this has happened. This was indeed replicated on our environment and it was fixed as soon as we found out. There is now a new plugin update available and it should go back to working perfectly (4.6.6.8)

Fyi, the latest WpStream Plugin also loads hls.js and ovenplayer.js on demand (i.e. only when needed). These are only used for ultra-low-latency which is a private beta, reason why it does make sense to not load them for everyone.
As pointed out repeatedly, we do not see such refinements as a must-have, and we still disagree with you calling this an issue. No further similar optimizations are scheduled but they may happen as part of further ongoing improvements.

You’ll want to check out version 4.6.2 of the plugin as it loads
wpstream-playerandyoutubescripts on demand, only on pages that strictly require it.This is a work in progress and we may proceed with more in the future, however that’s not scheduled or viewed as essential. As pointed out, dynamic loading of scripts may come with side effects, so a cautious approach is preferred if it meets the “acceptable” criteria above, as also employed by the likes of Elementor and Automattic.
