In reply to: [StatComm (StatPress Community) Multisite Edition] StatComm crashed my siteHi AmbroseMugwump,
As first measure, if you have ftp access, rename plugin folder to another name in order to deactivate it.I’m regarding this problem since I saw the same situation in other sites.
Could you tell us which WordPress and plugin version is on your site?
Thanks!Hi GermanWiki,
It seems the plugin has some restriction to save the file properly.
I’m pretty sure this problem happened before. Let me research on the subject and I’ll come back with an answer.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [StatComm (StatPress Community) Multisite Edition] Fatal error: on line 142Update 1.7.65 will be released before end of April, I’m making other requirements asked for other users.
What do you suggest to do in order to improve multisite support?

In reply to: [StatComm (StatPress Community) Multisite Edition] Fatal error: on line 142Hi fisherofer,
Thanks for your comments. The geoipcity.php and geoip.php are using code provided by Maxmind site (where the IP database is downloaded).
Those files are using the mb_internal_encoding function, which it is defined in the multibyte string extension (mbstring). This extension needs to be installed on Apache.
Chances are the extension mbstring is missing on the Apache server (is NOT installed by default).
Summing up:
I’m going to make changes to detect this situation, even though I would recommend enabling multi byte string extension or ask the administrator to enable it.
Tell me if this is useful to you, otherwise, how could I help?
Best regardsWould you mind checking if the plugin was installed on a proper plugin folder or is it installed by mistake on two-level folder (something like plugins
——–folderA
—————-subfolderB
?)Maybe there is some problem in the current installation and that could discard a possible cause.
Thank you.Hi Denis,
thanks for your message.
Please allow me some time to research this issue, and get back to you.Best regardds
Hi colourstone,
my apologies for the delay.I’m curious about how this error is happening. Please drop me a line on the contact form in the main site wpgetready.com . I would like to help you to solve this issue.
Hi colourstone,
I’m still unable to reproduce that particular problem.
Is that happening to any user or to logged ones?
In any case please drop me a line going to the plugin support site.
Thank you.Hi Dwight66,
I’ve been researching about the subject. I think the problem could come because a the ip detection is weakly implemented.
In this situation the IP could be forged to make us think the IP comes from somewhere.I’m working to improve and fix this problem. If you are curious about it There is some examples on http://www.thespanner.co.uk/2007/12/02/faking-the-unexpected/
Best Regards
There is an article explaining how to expand Statcomm to trigger some actions under many circumstances.
Please see the following link

Hi Dwight66,
If you have a regular wordpress installation, you’ll find some information querying the database:
select * from wp_statcomm where ip like ‘%10.21.26%’.
It is also possible to trigger some action when this IP is detected. More of this later.
Hi dustinmoorman,
thanks for your comments.I thought that was fixed … 🙁 .
I will release a small patch this week solving the issue.I appreciate your suggestions very much.
Thank you!I couldn’t reproduce the problem yet. The only clue is something about line breaks in the Google code, but this not the way Google maps works with the plugin(?).
Is that error displaying in your browser? If so, do you mind to send me your site url address?
Thanks.
