In reply to: Cropped featured image how toIt all depends on your theme. Some themes define image sizes for such things as featured images, featured thumbnails etc. As a basic rule of thumb, if you know your featured image is going to be displayed at say 400px x 300px, when you upload your image, ensure it matches that aspect ratio. So an image at 800px x 600px would be cropped by the theme and retain its aspect ratio.
Does that make sense to you?

Maybe try turning debug off and see if things improve?
