In reply to: [Authors List] Issue Since Latest WordPress UpdgradeHi @matychak
This is the support forum for our Authors List plugin. Looking at your site it seems that your issue is unrelated to our plugin, the image and bio you are referring to are added by the theme.

In reply to: [Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Confusing stringHi @mbrsolution
You’re welcome and thank you 🙂
That text string is from a long time ago, it’s a “success message” from the functionality that imports subscriptions from a few other comments subscription plugins into StCR.
No need to translate those. That functionality will most likely be removed soon since it’s outdated, those other plugins don’t exist anymore.

In reply to: [Cool Tag Cloud] debug errorHi @impulsivia
It seems to be a WordPress bug. There was a report of the same error 5 months ago and that user mentioned that they’re getting the issue with other tag clouds (other plugins and the native tag cloud widget)
But the white page is confusing me, a “deprecated” notice shouldn’t be causing a white page. The only thing that should happen is that it gets logged and not affect the site itself. Is there anything else in the error log other than that?

Can you let me know which settings you have applied to the widgets on that page? I’ll then set the same on my installation and hopefully I can get the error to show up for me as well.
And can you send over a list of plugins you use, maybe there’s a conflict between our plugin and another one you use.

In reply to: [Simple Basic Contact Form] Not working with Gmail + translate errorsHi @mruniversal
The plugin uses the existing
wp_mailfunctionality of WordPress to send emails. If the emails are not being sent out then they’re probably being blocked by your email provider (in most cases the same as the hosting provider).
Try WP Mail Logging to see if it reports any errors for those failed emails. If it does not report any errors then the request to send the email was successfully passed on to the server.
You can use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-test-email/ to test out sending emails, to check if it’s just our plugin’s contact form that is a problem or if it’s a different problem that affects the mailing functionality in general.

In reply to: [Simple Basic Contact Form] Spoofing?Hi @deon-b
The “From” in the contact form can’t be modified by a visitor (person who submits the form), that is fixed and set in the plugin settings in the admin panel.
I meant in general it’s simple to use any email address as the “From” so someone can use your email address for that. Not specific to the contact form.
The subject in the contact form is also fixed by default, unless you enable the functionality for the visitors to manually enter a subject. But you mentioned that you always get “Message sent from your contact form” which means you haven’t enabled that feature so the subject is fixed.
As for “Windows Outlook 11”, it doesn’t mean that “Windows Outlook 11” was used, that value can be modified to say anything (so it can really be Windows Outlook but it can be anything else as well) BUT it can’t be modified in our contact form, we have that fixed to say “Simple Basic Contact Form”.
So, it’s not coming from our form.
But, you should contact your hosting provider about setting up: SPF, DKIM, DMARC
They’ll know what it’s about.
And if you want you can read more about it at higherlogic.com/blog/spf-dkim-dmarc-email-authentication/

In reply to: [Simple Basic Contact Form] Spoofing? If it came from our plugin’s form you would see “Message sent from your contact form” but from what I saw in the data you sent the subject was “Pending for a payment.”

In reply to: [Simple Basic Contact Form] Spoofing?Hi @deon-b
In the headers the mailer is shown as “Microsoft Office Outlook 11”. If it went through the contact form (our plugin) the mailer would be “Simple Basic Contact Form”
So it’s simply someone using your email address as the “from” address in the email, that’s simple to do, but it would fail in spam checks and won’t be delivered to the recipient as a legitimate email. From what I see in the content you sent it was marked as spam, correct?

In reply to: [Cool Tag Cloud] only show tags on this PAGEHi @rmblfish
The page where it takes you is a WordPress generated page (not specific to our plugin) which is an archive of posts with a specific tag.
The functionality you described is not the intended purpose of our plugin, sorry.

Can you forward one of those emails to
skustrimovicat gmail com, seeing it should give me some idea as to what’s going on.
