You can hide the ‘x’ by adding the following CSS to your theme’s stylesheet:
#wp-live-chat-close { display: none !important; }Thank you for the heads-up on escaping the apostrophes. We’ll have this fixed in the next update we release 🙂

We’ve just released an update with a few changes to it, as well as having tested it on WordPress 4.4.2 and WP Live Chat Support 6.0.0. The plugin has worked without any issues on our side.
Would you mind giving it a try on your side and letting me know if you are still experiencing issues with this?
Hi there.
Our plugin runs through the /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php to execute Ajax long-polling for the chat window to function (Follows WordPress standards)
I’d perhaps recommend installing a security plugin such as Sucuri instead of password protecting the directory as quite a few plugins/themes use the admin-ajax.php file for Ajax calls.

That message currently displays erroneously, however the plugin should still function without any issues while that is displayed.
