We aren’t aware of any bugs regarding this – we’ll look into this today and try replicate it on our local environment.
Do you perhaps have any JS errors on your website when the user is logged out that you are aware of?

The plugin has been translated into Chinese, however those translation files are rather outdated.

Are there any JS errors on the front end of your site that you are aware of? Having any JS errors on the page will likely cause messages to not come through on the front end.

Yes we do use admin-ajax – this is the only way we can use AJAX requests in WordPress securely and within best practices. Although this does force a load of the WordPress system with every AJAX request, we initiate a long poll request to the server which keeps the PHP file open for around 28 seconds. This negates us having to send multiple requests and only keeps send one ajax request every 28 seconds. If you site has slowed down as a result of this, it could be due to the fact that you are on a very low performance server with minimal RAM and processing power. Who do you host with and on what package are you on?

We’ve looked into this and it appears Kaspersky has a bug that detects this as a false positive as per this forum topic here: https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=251261
Based on that topic, it appears Kaspersky affects various parts of WordPress’ core functionality as well.
We’ll keep an eye on this topic to see if/when Kaskpersky fixes this bug.
