is either of these supposed to be in some field?
Please make sure the domain name in the Dropbox app matches to the domain you’re using the plugin in.
E.g., do I need to set up the dropbox folder sharing with either URL? so files can be copied into the wordpress media library?

I don’t get error messages, per first message.

Per the second message, if I was to edit a page, select the add media button, then the options appear….did not expect the options to only appear there.

I was expecting from the dashboard/admin panel, I could manage the media library first by getting items uploaded with “add new”. This would be the left hand nav panel for posts, pages, media, etc… The Media utlity “add new” only has the option to upload from my PC.

If this is the correct behavior of the plugin, then I know how to move forward. If the basic Media, “add new” function should also have the same options as when I would be in editing a page, this configuration is flowing through.

With the editing page feature, when I do try to insert a dropbox file, I do get this error message: {“error”: “Origin does not match any app domain”}
With the insert URL, I try to enter a valid dropbox url to a movie file…it does upload a file. From the page where this new item from the library is inserted, I try to click and play the file. Instead it only downloads to my PC. When opening the file now on my PC, this error message comes up “This file isn’t playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt.” , which is a .mov file.

Over time, these files may no longer be available on dropbox, thus I want to have them on the wordpress site, without downloading to my pc and uploading to wordpress.

I do use the Fluida theme by Cryout Creations, v1.3.4 is installed now.
its OK to make a form entry, just enter “test” in the “questions” text box.
