This issue has been somewhat resolved by me, finally (my own stupidity) finding the page to remove the secondary link.

If you are having problems with this, the solution is to go to:

Gallery / Options / Gallery – 4th item down on this page, and remove the check mark beside Integrate Slideshow.

The image list now appears on the page and the Slideshow link option is gone, thankfully.

Still don’t understand why clicking the link would take a visitor to the top of the page.. and at this point, don’t care. 🙂
