Okay, the post title in the email links to the correct URL. Itβs only the URL in the email footer that uses the post ID. Is that what you see on your end as well?
Correct – the title has the correct URL applied and the URL at the bottom (the more obvious bit) has the post ID.
So if I enable wp.me, that should show up in the URL field on the emails? I’m kind of happy to do that. I don’t recall why I disabled it (probably just because I was not using it), but I assume that if I enable it, this is the only place that the short URL would show/be used unless I manually use it elsewhere?

I have just published https://willstocks.co.uk/i-have-a-new-website/
It came through (as I’m sure you have seen) via email as https://willstocks.co.uk/?p=2881 π
I also recorded the process of posting, just for reference. I’ll send a link to that in a mo!
Hi @kokkieh
When I first published, yes there was a title set. That being said, I did not save any draft of the post – I entered the title, the two lines and the link and then hit publish immediately. Does that make a difference?
I can confirm, I am using
%postname%πThat’s interesting – is there anything I can do from my end to alleviate this in the future, or is this just a potential red-herring/blip?
I will get another post published now, bear with me!

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] v1.9.0 issuesI had a response from Amazon Associates: The only support channel for the AALB plugin is this forum.
They also suggested I reach out on the associates forum, just to see what’s what… I posted but have not received a response there either (again, it seems like a community forum rather than an “Amazon Support” forum): https://engagedforums.com/discussions/Amazoncouk_Associates_Discussion_Board/Discussions/Amazon_Associates_Link_Builder__Supported_or_Abandonware/am-assocuk/3943.1?dbg=6&nav=messagesIn the meantime, I’ve disabled the AALB plugin on my site because it’s doing more harm than good. We’ve had over 9 weeks of no response (to any support requests) so I’m on the brink of considering the AALB plugin abandon-ware at this point, which I find very strange because less than 6 months ago it’s all I saw when I logged in to my Associates portal and now I’m without alternative – I either suffer poor performance, throttled API calls, a bloating DB, incompatibilities… or I take the revenue hit.
@amazonlinkbuilder are you able to offer up any support/advice at all please?

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] v1.9.0 issuesI have just reached out to Amazon Associates UK support via https://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/home/contact/ so hopefully @amazonlinkbuilder will be getting in touch soon! π
It is indeed!
I received an email at 13:08 (down) and then another at 13:17 once I had resolved the issue. What time are you seeing the first email firing?
My site actually went down between 12:40 and 12:45 (I got my first Uptime Robot through at about 12:49/12:50)
So it was a little under half an hour between the actual outage and the first notification (give or take the 5 minute allowance for the checks – I believe my Uptime Robot plan is about the same check frequency)
Just seen that there was recently an update for this – thanks guys!!! π π
Sent in – thanks @vmarko π
@vmarko Can I just confirm:
share your master file.
Are you referring to my main .htaccess or site nginx config file that I need to share – I’m happy to send over both via the contact form if needs be, but just wanted to make sure I send the right thing? π€£
Thanks @vmarko π
If you’re able to advise how I can generate them, I’m happy to do so! If not, I’ll fire in a message to your contact form as suggested π
Thanks,
Will

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] v1.9.0 issuesI’ve just logged in to my server and happened to run
htopand have noticed that I have over 40 apache processes spawned/running (consuming cpu and memory) – it looks like the sheer majority of them are due to AALB (looks like ~35 are due to Amazon!)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] v1.9.0 issuesFWIW, I have just tried reaching out via Twitter as well π
Hey @amazonassociate, is there an email address available that supports the Link Builder plugin for WordPress? A lot of us are having pretty significant issues with it (https://t.co/5LwxRBlRsp for example) but weβre struggling to get a response to the more significant threads π

Hopefully we will hear something soon one way or another
Thanks @ianmjones – that’s some great insight!
I’ve linked this topic in a Github comment (https://github.com/rosell-dk/webp-express/issues/161) for the plugin in question βΊοΈ
My only thought is – if I wanted to rewrite images web variant for supported browsers… Any thoughts off of the top of your head how one could achieve this whilst still using WP Offload?
