    At the moment the database has decided to start playing up and I cannot get access using WordPress. The website is working for the public so it’s a case of wait for the hosting support to investigate.

    When that’s back working I might test with twentytwelve or I might just build the website with another authoring tool.

    I’ve carried out some testing and here are the results.

    WordPress 3.6 – only change in software used on computer
    Style – SmartBiz
    Plugins – activated

    Using
    Chrome – Can see the files to be added. Will not insert onto page
    IE – Can see the files to be added. Will not insert onto page
    Chrome with IE plugin – Cannot see the files to be added
    Firefox – Can see the files to be added. Files can be inserted onto page.

    Conclusion
    This problem exists with several styles.
    Media insertion works with Firefox.
    Problem appeared having upgrading to 3.6
    Problem is more than likely in the 3.6 code and that the version has not been fully tested using IE and Chrome with multiple styles.

    I’ve logged an item on the SmartBiz support pages.

    Before I change over to the Twenty Twelve theme I need to clarify if I will lose anything. Is it as easy as change the theme, test, revert back to the SmartBiz theme?

    I’ve just noticed the same problem and I’m using the SmartBiz theme.
    I don’t want to be changing the theme everytime I want to insert some new media.
    I hope the software team are looking into this gaff?
